Car stolen and impounded, write off - pretty much

Sorry I am reharshing everything too much. Basically the police aren't an option for paying, insurance aint and I aint. I will tell tomorrow the garage this, I am not bothered about the car or gettinig it back, so far they will probably be wanting near a k for it back.

My problem is I ask one place and bounced to somenoe else. So far it's "ask the garage" and I bet it's "to the poilce".

I think citazins advice would be wise? Will get an appointment made tomorrow.

Ok old thread I am digging up. I got a call from the police they wanna talk with me as they've found the persons finger prints on the outside of my car they are known to the police also. On Wed they will show me a photo of them.

They found prints six months after it was stolen, been recovered and fingered by gds knows who.

On top of that they are going to show you the prints, now why would they do that?

I will correct myself, they are going to show you a picture of the offenders, even so, why, if they are known to the police.

anyone got any popcorn left? personally, i can't see this happening after 6 months, for starters any prints would have been taken at the time of recovery or shortly after not 6 months down the line, so if they were known to the police the would have been caught back i March. Also i thought you said the car would be destroyed if you didn't pick it up, I would have thought this would have happened by now. I smell something, an it isn't roses...

my guess is that initially the car was checked for prints, roll on 6 months later either they only just got round to dealing with this case, or this person of interest to them has recently been naughty and his finger prints have been flagged up on the database?
just guessing but hey! reckon the former is more likely, busy police force relatively less serious crime not going to be top priority, and lets face it 6 months is hardly a long time when it comes to our police:p;)
