also this video is reviewing the new MJCC foam cannon

also he brings up the PSI rating charts

3600 PSI !

My Autobrite Lance came with a 1.2 Orifice Installed (Spare 1.1MM in the box)

Only having a Karcher K2 I noticed foam production was probably less than my cheap eBay Lance.

Switched over to the 1.1MM and the difference was night and day, much thicker less wet foam.

Another thing I have noticed is how much more economical it is, it’s weird how slowly it sips the solution compared to my previous lance.

Very happy with the purchase! No buyers remorse.

Stuck some Bilt Hamber - Surfex HD in the foam lance today as my Pre Wash.

Did a fantastic job and was a doddle to rinse off after it had been left to dwell.

You can see its cleaning power by the foam trail on the ground, partially car grime along with whatever it’s drawing out of the tarmac!

did it foam much ?

Not a great deal, well initially yes but it’s quite runny and dwell time isn’t long.

Could always add a tiny amount of a high foaming product to totally change the characteristics.

I just thought I would apply it through the lance rather than using a pump sprayer.

It was rinsed a couple of minutes after application.

I normally stick a bit of citrus in with touchless, or spray some surfex and lay touchless on top and that gives you some dwell time.

All cleaned up for the MX-5 evening at Caffeine & Machine tomorrow. Used Garage Therapy Decon in the foam pump for the wheels, worked pretty well.

A teaser snap after a mega session including PB Black hole and AG Prizm.
4x Zoom from bedroom window.

I'm very impressed with the gloss and filling capacity of BH. Pure burgundy really pops.now.

Excuse tyre shine, will buff that back for a satin finish.

Had a nice cleaning session this morning , mainly Garage Therapy products and a bit of AG Snowfoam and Super Resin Polish
I think it looks good for a nearly 8 year old car

Curious to know peoples thoughts on how often they actually wash their cars and how in depth each of those washes is? I guess everyone is different and I suppose a possible answer is 'I wash it when its dirty!!' :D

I generally wash my M340i and Z4 once a week (the Z4 usually less as its a weekend toy only, pretty much), sometimes twice depending on how much driving I've been doing/weather conditions. When I do wash it, I use AG Polar Blast/Polar Wash/Polar Seal. Then dry it off using a couple of Turtle Wax drying towels. It's a time consuming (ish) process if you do it correctly, but the end result is worth it. Wondering though, does anyone do a sort of 'maintenance' wash in between their 'full' washes? Or to avoid paint swirls/scratches are you just as well going the whole hog every time with a two/three stage process?

A mate of mine has the mantra of 'everytime, no matter how careful you are, you put a wash mitt anywhere near your paint, you can potentially cause damage' and as such he actually lets the car go longer between full 3 stage washes even if it looks dirty. I'm not sure if he has a point there, surely if there are more dirt pareticles built up on the paint if you leave it longer then there's more likelihood of you damaging paint?

I snowfoam, contact wash and apply some kind of protection every time, that might be Polar Seal, or sonax BSD or GT 2 Sigma depending what mood I'm in.
Probably every two weeks during the summer, less in winter, and I do about 10k miles a year... during winter I might do the wheels in between full washes to keep on top of them.

One thing I've done recently as well is mixed up some Polar Seal in a spray bottle , so I can just apply that to the wheels only if I want to.

Cheers. I like the idea of some Polar Seal in a spray bottle for the wheels, nice

Once a week or fortnight depending on how much the car has been used.
Pre-wash with snow foam, fallout remover for wheels, 2 bucket wash, quick detailer to finish off + windows.
