Carabao Cup 4th Round Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th - 30th October 2024]

The specific complaint was that senior members of the team weren't treated any differently from the youngsters when it came to workload and after hard games that they didn't perform in, the manager would then make them do extra hard training which just exacerbated issues.
Wasn't it also that they felt like they needed more personal training regimes?

They will try and sell him at the end of the season if he doesn't justify his place. Brailsford and co won't put up with his ****.

Is it that easy? Under Contract till 30 June 2028 no one's giving him the same wage he isn't worth it

Hope so, but who will pay his wages? PSG?

It does seem like he needs a new start

If a player is on a silly wage and you want to sell them an no one would pay it you have a few options. Freeze the player out and hope they will leave and accept a lower salary or you can subsidise their salary either by taking a lower transfer fee or literally paying some of their contract out. That would either allow the buying club to use the saved transfer fee to pay the silly wages or for them to not have to because you have.

No solution is idea but his days at United are numbered I reckon.

A couple of less obvious observations from tonight's game.
Casemiro much happier with Ugarte there to cover. Ugarte was tidy and makes some good challenges, can play the odd decent forward pass but I can see why he hasn't been played much. I don't think he's quite at the pace for this league and he looked pretty tired from about 60 minutes. I like that he looks like he will get a nosebleed if he goes in the opposition half.
Amad was beaming when he came on, I like that. The kid has a good attitude and deserves more game time. He needs to start ahead of Rashford.

I really can't see them freezing him out, he's the poster child, a commercial dream.

Hopefully they will subsidise but not sure the moneymen would allow that.

He does need to go though, only then will I accept that the club is changing.

I'm surprised Ugarte isn't fit, he's played a fair bit recently!
