Carabao Cup Final Man Utd v Newcastle ** Spoilers ** [26th February 2023]

Apart from a superb free kick and a dodgy deflection they have been poor.

We just lack that quality

New number 9 and a DM us needed in the summer

That is a silly way to look at it. We were 2-0 up at half time. Obviously that changes how we approach our second half. If it was 0-0 I am sure it would be different. Newcastle have had 7 days rest. We just beat the top team in La Liga just 3 nights ago.

To be fair, I thought Newcastle looked the much sharper team but didn't do anything with it in the final third. I'm sure part of that is the sheer intensity of games United have played.

Objectively, as someone who doesn't really care who wins this, it feels like a game that Newcastle could play twice without scoring. Neither side has been great, and 2-0 is flattering to Manu, but they've been more clinical and hard to break down and that's what wins finals
