So how is that different to the two players who were offside drawing defenders for the free kick? We’re rhet not “active”?
That’s what I mean, you can’t say those two who were offside weren’t interfering with play for the free kick.

Cheers but we knew it was coming. I just wish she waited until after the match finished. I felt bad leaving her dead in the middle of the living room floor while I watched extra time and pens.

...If the ball had gone to those players (or the players they're marking) then they'd be offside. SO stick an attacking player on the post would only do anything if the ball went nowhere near them, so it's no advantage.
Any need to depress us further?
