There's also the problem with where all the recruits are meant to stay, Halton is way over run just now.

From entering the career office on the 27th of Jan I started on March 4th.

But I was extremly lucky, Everytime there was a cancelation I was called first.

I started weapons training today, It feels so smug to hold a rifle.

It was gone midnight when I saw you and you were still sober! Soon sorted that out though didn't we

I managed to blow £170 in the end last night but I suppose it's worth it seeing as I'm going to be dry now for a few months, I think the GF drank more than me! Next time I see you I'll be fit with a tan

Pokey drill, holding the rifle in one hand and fully extending your arm out to the side holding the rifle out until instructed to lower it. Basically its a stress technique that has probably been banned seeing as it appears training has gone all wussy now... boots given to you weeks before training to "bed them in"? WEAK!!!

Don't forget no marching down to GDT with bergans up and down 'bergan' hill. I bet they don't even do tabbing anymore

Tabbing still exists, We do it in "Battle PT".

I had no blisters until then.

theyr still done in the navy - 'arm strengthening exercises'

We got threatened with pokey drill, never happened though.

And we done tabbing and marching up and down with bergans well the once before CPT. Altough tabbing after ex nearly did kill me, good times.

Theres to much to type up lol, but the only thing that sucks Is my trade training course at Cosford doesnt start until August 13th.. :\ So I'm on holding flight until then.

I was told that intakes are huge these days meaning it is really difficult to back flight anyone which results in a lot of poor recruits getting through? Was also told that ADF (holiday flight) is full? Sound rubbish

Mad Jay I'm pretty sure you'll be coming up to Cosford as soon as you pass out, well that's what's always happened in my experience. Just be glad you're not staying on ADF at Halton.
