Carling Cup Quarter Final Games - **Spoilers**

City v Liverpool.

Seriously, these draws are not fixed my rear.

BrianDurand56: The numbers for the draw are ;- hot balls = LFC and man City , cold balls are Cardiff & Palace

Painful painful viewing, that last 15 minutes absoloutly no movement everything played in front and when ever there was even a hint of getting in behind Fryers or Valencia on the other side would just pass it back

I'm not surprised about the performance from the senior players but the younger players should have really stepped it up tonight like Arsenal's did against City and bar 15 minutes when he came on from Morrison they didn't, Pogba especially was utter garbage

One thing that wont be mentioned though is that the winning goal was in fact off-side and if it wasn't then it was certainly more off-side than Hernandez's winner Saturday which was ruled out but the visiting teams never get the decisions at OT do they....

Don't know why it's being hailed as one of the greatest upsets though. Credit to palace but only 2 maybe 3 of that team are worthy of being considered first team.
Biggest team in the world being knocked out of a cup by a team who barely stayed in existence two years ago and have dodged relegation from the second tier of english football by a whisker for the last 2 seasons.

You're right, seems run of the mill to me.

The semi-final will fall a week after we play City in the league (also a midweek game) so there will be 3 consecutive midweek games against City in January.

So did Manchester United win?

no and look at the team they put out

40 Amos
06 Evans
12 Smalling
20 Fabio Da Silvayellow card (Fryers 37)
21 Rafael (Pogba 64)
13 Park Ji-Sung
25 Valencia
28 Gibsonyellow card
09 Berbatov (Morrison 46)
27 Macheda
32 Diouf

they should've won. makes me feel better as a spurs fan (who also lost tonight)

To be fair when the commentator said this was possibly a bigger upset than losing 6-1 to city i nearly died of laughter.

Palace are playing on Friday in the league. We only put out a second string tonight. In fairness, it was only Man Utd
