Carling Weekend/Reading/Leeds

Damn Audioslave pulling out.
I'm really looking forward to the Lockup Stage tonight.
Dance stage is on Sunday which is good because Main stage sunday is pretty strong compared to Friday

I'm glad I got my wednesday admission.....
Anybody up for organising a OCUK meet At Reading Festival?

Could be a laugh.

The main headliners seem a bit patchy this year in my opinion. I would most like to see:

Towers of London, Wolfmother, Coheed, Clap your hands say yeh, be your own pet, dizzee rascal, the kooks, boy kill boy and forward russia.

If they all happened to be on the same day I'd be there in a flash

For me the weekend will revolve around Muse, not sure about the Sunday night though, might chill out and wander around a bit.

I'll be making the usual wednesday pilgrimage up there.

Anyone else noticed there's a band called Frank Lampard playing? Either that or the Chelsea midfielder is just going to do a PA in the Carling tent.

I think it's actually just a TBC special guest slot

Not sure if anyones a fan here but THE VINES are "reforming" and playing at this years Reading and Leeds Festivals!

It's assumed they will be taking the Special Guest slot, Friday on the Radio 1/NME stage.

I've only heard a few songs (including Ride), but seems to have gotten a fair few people excited on various forums.

Anyone here like them?

OOOO I'm looking foward to The Vines, very good live.

For me, this year will be about Saturday main stage, the Carling stage the rest of the time and the late night dance tent.

Really good lineup in my opinion.

I know this must have been discussed but are we planning a meet at all?

Me and Meggy-V have got Wednesday Passes, We will probably be in Brown Somewhere, but we haven't decided yet :-P

I'm not going for the bands as much this year, there just aren't as many that I wanna see.

Festivalness more so :-)
