US: Castle

Castle is awesome. Best moment from the last episode was clearly this...

I don't think spelling it out for him will work in this case. If he can't see that, he ain't seeing your words :p

Not suprised really. Beautiful, intelligent and classy women aren't exactly in fashion these days.

Not sure about her dodgy hair and outfit there, but clearly there's more to this woman than just looks.

I really like that she isn't stick thin either. I'd hope she could kick on and branch into films with depth once Castle wraps.

Also on that note, imagine if she jumped ship and they tried to continue the show on without her...

Each to their own and all that but I prefer someone like Anna Torv. I also don't find Morena Baccarin that attractive.

As for yesterdays episode I am 15 mins in and its the worse one I've seen. I know technically they're not breaking the fourth wall but they may as well be.

No its actually a terrible episode and Castle is so much better than this.

Just finished. Utter ****e.

Pretty ballsy to do an episode like that, not sure it paid off. It wasn't Castle at its peak but still enjoyable. The story was half decent, although what happened with the religious nut? Would've thought they'd do a 'moral job' on him.

Ballsy? Really?

When writers run out of idea's they go to the box of cliched alternative episodes, show infront of documentary crewe is the least ballsy option, its the go to one that basically every single series goes to at some point. The actual ballsy version is doing live to camera like ER did(personally don't really get the live twice in a row for east/west coast thing as that seems to make it so much less... unique). 30 Rock have done two live eps now(well 4 total) and frankly have been awful, largely because comedy is harder to get right live AND guys like Tracy have been crap for years, so it lacked timing, effort and comedy in general. Talk about ballsy when they do the live episode, or the stop animation version :p not when they pull out an episode off the "bog standard alternative episode to compensate for having no other good ideas" list.

Thought that ep was crap, and I think the sci-fy one was pretty poor as well.

It started off as a light hearted but semi serious crime/police show, its getting ever more ridiculous, with consistently utterly retarded cases in favour of making cheap jokes. Also the daughter, I can't stand her, can't act, not funny, irritating voice and forehead/face that precludes me looking past the rest.

Thought Castle was great for a couple years, got ridiculous, had a decent run of semi serious episodes again and some decent arc's, but has descended into daft episode after daft episode.

There is nothing making a sci-fy comicon episode great in theory, but lasers, and painfully obvious reveals, and the force fed, lets get everyone together and reveal the culprit formulaic thing all detective shows do at the moment is becoming painful to watch.

I thought it was decent enough myself, obviously no match for the more serious episodes/storylines they've dealt with in the past, but it was light-hearted and had some funny moments. A bit too much time spent by the characters making silly expressions into the camera though.

Why does the bad guy always cave in the final interrogation? Ask for your lawyer, shut the **** up and take your chances.

It would be nice if they mixed the system up a little and didn't have the eventual killer be interviewed / shown early on only to go through a number of other people before looping back to reveal that original person as the main suspect ... but hey the christmas episode was alright - not my favourite though.

There was one episode where they literally just pulled in a guy from nowhere in the story and he was revealed as the killer. great piece of writing. i can't for the life of me remember which episode mind you :\

Christmas episode was okay, i've seen worse, but it felt like I'd seen that exact story before which sucked.

Even with the annoying mother and daughter, an overrated lead actress :p and being a little clichéd at times it's still one of the better programs on TV.
