US: Castle

It's lost its edge for me, hardly surprising after 5 series, but then I think it was losing it before then. Too much trying to have long conspiracy theory arcs.
 
Three episode into season 6, and I hate to say it, but it's a bit rubbish now. Feels like a parody of itself, and the Attorney Genera's office seems to be the equivalent of CTU with all the absurd technology they've got.

I guess it's all downhill from here.
 
I agree the early episodes were rubbish but IMHO it does get better. I'm watching on iTunes and still enjoying it but I'll admit it is not as good as the first few seasons.

I really want things to get better, and without including any spoilers, the series seems to have a lot more filler in it than before. And the wedding plans are just irritating.
 
She's back at NYPD now - which was obviously going to happen - so at least the formula is back to where it should be, but it's still missing something.
 
Beckett was so hot in the 70s clobber. I managed to talk to Stana Katic at Comic Con a couple of years back, and by God she is one of those rare women who is hotter in the flesh than she is on screen.
 
Castle is very underrated imo. I don't know anyone else who watches it and when I recommend it no one listens. I had that with Breaking Bad and once some friends got sick of me going on about it and watched it they wished they'd started earlier.
 
Current season hasn't really picked up much for me, it's still decent enough but it doesn't have the charm of the earlier seasons. Nathan Fillion saves it really, were it not for him I think it'd be suffering quite badly by now.
 
I love Castle. This season is dropping a bit though. This and Elementary have been my long time watches.

Really dire (and predictable though I have to say I thought it'd be Beckett not Castle)ending to series 6. I think they've woken up to the fact that if they let them actually get married it's pretty much the end of it.
 
Watched the 70's episode last night; feels like this show has really jumped the shark now, the whole thing just felt a bit dumb. Obviously it's always been quite light-hearted and fun but I think they're pushing their luck now.

Molly Quinn looked rather amazing though, for the 8 seconds she was on screen anyway.

Just watched S08E13. In it, they had a character who was supposed to be a Geordie I have never heard an accent like in my life. It has to be seen to be believed.

Same here... and, as a Geordie myself, I was howling with laughter when the lass said he was a Geordie! Never heard an accent like that up here in my life, hell, I'd even pay my own ticket to have acted that part for them... tweeted Heurtas and Dever to say no wonder they couldn't understand him, I couldn't either.

It's an amusing distraction of a show now... keeps me sane while she trawls through The Good Madam Secretary That Gets Away With Scandal, or whatever nonsense she's watching right now.
 
Americans have no clue when it comes to accents, for the years I lived in Texas they thought I was an Australian - I'm Welsh. :D

Still watch it, still enjoy it - I think the key is to not take it remotely seriously.

To be fair, it is an easy mistake to make. Both are descended from a bunch of criminals and both have a penchant for girlfriends of the woolly variety. :D
 
Not sure about the criminal aspect but I would have to think hard if forced to choose between Flossie and Stana Katic :D

the odd thing is they kept playing irish jig music when he was speaking
