US: Castle

i get these on DVD box set, always seem to miss the broadcasts. feel it's dropping in quality rapidly though, that 70s show episode was soem of the most ridiculous stupid cac i've ever seen, pure embarassment.
i really hate when shows like this try and use a "the main character may be dead!" plot as a cliffhanger for a season, FFS, we all know if there's another season then they're not going to be dead, so it's a lame waste of time.

Recent cast announcements don't give me a good feeling at all about this, even if it limps to season 9.

Stana Katic not renewed? Daft... then add booting Tamala Jones out and not even telling the rest of the cast (some found out online, like everyone else), well that just looks pretty poor.

Yes, it's "Castle" not "Caskett", but it's the pairing that made the show for the most part.

Might have to find the address for ABC's letterbox and send them some poo...

I agree, wont be the same without Stana. Has she just called it a day?

She "hasn't been asked back"... Specifically, it's been said her and Lanie not back due to budget restrictions! Season's not even finished and they've announced the co-lead won't be there next season if it's back? To quote Jericho: " nuts "

Never really took Fillion for a tool, but he's definitely not coming out of the situation very well.

Apparently Nathan Fillion and Stana don't get on at all. It is written into his contract to limit filming scenes with them both to two days a week.

She wasnt originally supposed to return for Season 8 but made a last ditch case. I am willing to bet the problem is on her side, she has been described as upset and annoyed that Nathan isn't attracted to her IRL as she is the type of girl that just expects every male to fall in love with her.

it's sad to say i won't miss it, given how much i loved the first few seasons, but unforutnately, despite doing my best to try and like it, i feel it lasted at least 2 seasons more than it should have.

I think it's time came a couple of seasons back (I gave up watching about then), but the Americans do love to grind a series into the ground instead of finishing it on a high.

Agreed. Just checked SeriesGuide on my phone and seems I gave up mid-way through season 7, but even by that point I was losing interest. The storylines were getting really, really silly and the chemistry between the characters wasn't there any more.

Hopefully Molly Quinn finds something else...

That was a terrible, tacked on, ending. I assume it was added because of the cancellation as they obviously had planned to end on a cliff hanger.

Just caught the last one... good lord, what a mess.

I'd kept the faith quite a way near the end, but that last episode completely killed it for me.
