Since when has the angry 21st century teenager listened to anyone?

Talking will do nothing. He'll just say, "yea sorry. Kthxbai". And do it again.

I technically fall into that category myself. Teenagers do listen if you bother to give them the time of day.

You don't know until you've tried. If you never try then don't expect him to change.

I'm sure you do fit into that group, but then I doubt you'd attack a cat for no reason.

I'm willing to bet that anyone willing to listen, won't need talking too.

The problem here is that I believe that animals are needlessly killed becuase we don't need to eat them to survive, in fact meat is the number one cause of heart disease in the western world, peoples health (in general) would be better off without it as they would live longer and healthier lives, and so in turn putting less strain on hospitals, less destruction on the environment, less global warming, and no killing of fluffy innocent animals, win win all round tbh.

I fall into the catagory too (not an angry teenager, just a teenager), but I know damn well what type of person this guy is. He is a brat that will not liked bring told off and just think, "****ing right I just got told off". He will not learn a thing just talking to him. He is just like a chav from here, they will not listen.

No, without meat we would have to keep a very sharp eye on what we eat, keeping to diets. It's much easier for us to just eat meat to get some fats, vitamine B12 and Iron.

As my question before, are you saying all other omnivores are eating meat needlessly, should we train all bears, bugs, birds, apes, pigs, etc to eat no meat any more?

But you can't tell if they're willing to listen unless you actually talk to them. If someone abuses an animal and then youtubes it, there's something else going on besides the usual 'they're just another ignorant teenager' argument.

Also, if this guy is angry, then the reasons for that should be discovered and dealt with now rather than later.

Some sort of corporal solution of hitting someone to punish has no place in western society and is known not to work.

Thats just not true. I used to walk around with the belief that violent punishment was the solution but I eventually wised-up and realised that it solved nothing.

I had loads of chavs at my school and it was easy to generalise and hate them for being total ***** most of the time, but they weren't like that because they were 'chavs'.

Plus, this guy is American(?), so technically doesn't fall under that category afaik.

No, that's the difference between us and animals, we out of the living species on the planet was given the unique gift of being able to make choices that defy our natural primeval instincts, without that choice we couldn't evolve.

I honestly believe that one of our goals as human beings is to evolve beyond those instincts and become in control of them rather than 'them' being in control of us.

Hence the "like a chav..."

Chav's don't listen, not from where I live anyway. This kid looks like the American equivilant of a chav, a brat that will only learn his lesson with some form of force that he won't forget rather than words. He'll end up going to his mates, "just got shouted at by my mom." If that happened to me, I would think to myself, I got away with it.
