Cat C Bike

Awesome! Have you taken it out yet?

It looks to be in really good condition, very impressed :). You getting a new exhaust for it as well, that one looks stock?

You need to get a fender extender on there?

Hope you're not going to run it with that key ring and get the damper all scratched up?!

thanks

ive only took it round the block a few times,i want a fender extender yeah,£24 one is and im still waiting on a decat link pipe so I can fit the akra can that ive got,idk when that will be though

and I don't think it will scratch it as its leather but could take it off just incase,or move it so its under the damper

and yeah whoever had it really looked after it,i don't think its seen any rain, plus its had 5 owners

(it was mainly cosmetic, the hardest part was getting the forks checked and the tab welded back on for the front mudguard)

I don't think C or D has to be inspected for bikes, Cars yes they have to be taken to the VOSA for inspection, but they apparently don't bother for bikes, just get it MOT'd.
I had to do all the googling for this when mine was written off ;)

I find that a bit weird - always have done as I've had a few write-off bikes. Also spot on for safety due to being a racer but I always found that weird.

In all fairness - the DVLA test is just I.D. and not really anything to do with safety.

When I had an accident on a motorbike, they revoked my license so I had to retake my car test. I passed and got my car license back - complete with motorbike entitlement. I had the accident on a motorbike so I'd have thought they'd have tested me on that as that was what caused it?

Common sense? It has a place in this world somewhere...

I only ever had soft keyrings on my Hornet and the bars still ended up getting all scuffed up. I'm sure most of it'd buff out, but I now always run with just the key on my Speed. I have however come close to losing my key a couple of times, it's easy to leave in a pair of trousers and forget as it's small and flat :p

You could get a carbon fibre fender extender from Infinite Performance? Paid £20 for mine from there and it's really nice. Although I guess you wouldn't really see it on that bike, so maybe just a plastic one.

Yeh, just had a look and they don't do one for the Ninja - how odd. Maybe the ZX12 or even ER6 one would fit it? Don't know. Check on ilmberger carbon as well.

you wanna get one clovis, ideal first bike if you ask me,they aint to powerful unless your really high up in the rev range

the later ones offer good spec aswell, big piston forks, slipper clutch ect

just take your time looking and get a decent one

Yeah! :) Just have to make sure it isn't 'too' much power wise for a first bike!

No chance. The smaller inline 4 bikes are asthmatic at low revs so they're very easy to control, just be careful with the kick up the arse they give you at high revs.

Was yours a private sale wazza? How much did you pay? I'm going to try my luck and relist mine for £2600, that's what I paid last month, then maybe add 2k on top, that could maybe get me a 2009/2010.

guy who makes the link/de cat pipes said he'll have made a batch up by the end of the week,so ill be fitting the akrapovic and decatting it soon

ill try and do a stock vs akra sound clip if I can
