When I download and install ATI drivers, I just use the display drivers, and nothing else.

I also skip the crossfire profiles.

Are the profiles not included in the display driver?

In all honesty I havent had any iddues doing it this way.

I'm getting between 2-7% CPU usage on that video when it's windowed.

Are UVD clocks enabling in the CCC when you watch the video?

Some profiles are included but the download has newer ones, it's worthwhile using the updated profiles.

Seriously if you use Firefox, download the RefControl extension I linked to in an earlier post, set it up like the following and then just click the links in the first post and they will work.

got as far as selecting type, OS etc, but download page wont load :/

on a side note, ive just twigged they've dropped the "HD" nomenclature from the 3000, 3100, 3200, but kept it on the HD3300. any particular reason?

After jumping through the hoops to get to download page for my card and operating system, the display drivers are the one thing not available to download!!

Not at all. I wasn't aware of it and once I knew what I needed it worked a treat. No sarcasm at all!

Broken hope explained it on the first page. Download this addon for firefox and install, firefox will need to be restarted.

Then simply right click on the desired link in the first post and goto "refcontrol options for links site" tick the custom box and put amd.com in and hit ok

Then just click on the links in the first post and they download as normal

Where do i find that in CCC? Is it anything to do with Powerplay?
