Catalyst 10.6 Released

BFBC2 load times now 5s for me with a 5870 also V-sync seems to work or well the tearing is a lot less.(i know you could rid it with resolution change before but seems you do not need to now.)

No temp increases either, pleased so far.

I uninstalled 10.5 first, rebooted, installed 10.6 and rebooted too.

That's because the idle voltages (only idle not gaming/2d etc) seemed to have increased, not sure if it would contribute to 15 degrees but it would increase temps by 5~ degrees I'd say. At least that's what it seems on my 5850.

On my 5850 the voltage has gone from 0.88v (w/e the default is) to 0.95v. The thing I'm wondering is why? Is it a bug or intentional, if so the idle power usage isn't as low as it was :p, I don't know for what purpose if it was intentional, I have reported it to the catalyst feedback program anyway.

well, load times are now long again for me with these in BFBC2, last in at beggining of round:mad: and there some kind of stutter while ingame in BFBC2, these are now gonna be removed and I'm going to go find 10.4b

whats the best way to remove them? i was on 10.4a and i wanna go back

Control panel, programs and features, then double click the ATI logos and follow the prompts, i usually use express unistall all ati software.

just trying to get the right 10.4's now, the one I just downloaded was wrong, trying again now though, i got a screen shot of which version i was using so have had to find it as the 10.4b i got was the wrong one's

i think ul find thats because of lower than normal fps, i used to be well over 100fps most of the time but now im at 60ish fps, msi says the most either card got to was 68% load :o

had that with 10.6 previews

if that's still happening, I'm not upgrading to 10.6 then

Yeah it could have been, but there was no way i could even bother to find out, not when 10.4b worked perfectly fine
