catalyst 13.1

Anyone got any good settings for far cry 3 in ccc and in game settings to run smooth, i tried disable crossfire(7850) and for me it made no difference.:(

I just do it has my own personal thing lol I then just play games really Like BF3 and I no some spots where Frames can drop etc and just see how they do.

Heaven 3.0 is a fast simple way for me to just run after each install, gives me some idea, I then save and log the file with driver version/Overclock and witch Windows.

Have you done the same with 3dmark11 ?
 
It is nice and i know what you mean with certain parts of the game, i can remember Crysis one with the ICE inside that bunker thing where the dude dies, that caused some FPS drop back in the day!

Nice touch ;)

I havent lol Just heaven. But I do notice improvements like, up to now Heaven does seem to be correct like 12.11 drivers where ment to be performance drivers and Heaven showed that to be correct etc

Like my test with 12.11 beta drivers beta 5 give me better FPS and score over beta 11 not much but it was there.
So I stayed with Beta 5
 
Just been trying the 13.1 drivers out with FC 3 and I still get that checkerboard effect, although I don't think it is as bad.....game seems a bit smoother, can't say I notice a huge difference though.

Also firefox scrolling is jittery and not as smooth/responsive.
 
Fire fox problem can be fixed in the scrolling options in firefox.

Farcry 3 checkerboard is the textures loading in little squares when you move? Still not fixed? Must be the game.

Do you mean by disabling the "smooth scrolling" option? It does get rid of the jittery feel but I liked how it was before! :p :(

Yup, happens when I move (like little black boxes rendering the vegetation with a fade effect) although it doesn't seem to happen as often as it did before.

I noticed a ~100 3DMark11 GFX Points increase with my 7870 (overclocked)

A quick run of Heaven also showed a small improvement.

I might also run some more extensive testing tomorrow :)
