Are you sure it is a driver issue with this game? So many bad reports from both sides, it could be just the game.
 
As far as i can tell, 13.2 do not include any fixes or improvements for farcry 3 smoothness.

Tell me exactly what I'm looking for and I'll have a look when I get home mate, windows 8 dual 7970's.
 
That is the thing regarding zero core, the way it is suppose to work is when the monitor(s) are of or in stand by mode the GPU goes to extremely low power mode that even the fans switch of as well and turn on for a few seconds at like 100% every 5 minutes, right?

That is what happens to me anyway.

Can be damn irritating that noise though :/

EDIT:

BTW a restart seems to have fixed my firefox font and smooth scroll problems.

That i was using since they came out. AWESOME DRIVERS !!!!
 
Zero Core has never worked for me on my old 7850 or current 7950, when it kicks in i either got a BSOD or the monitor got stuck in the powered on state but would be blank and required a hard reset to get back.

Only cure was to set power options to never put the monitors to sleep.

Zero core has been working fine for ages, even when I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8, but my SSD died yesterday. So had to do a fresh install of windows 8, I first installed the 12.11 drivers and now the 13.1 both are the same, I can see it trying to zero core (going from 501 to 300) but it won't play ball.
 
I've tested these 13.1s. Disappointed to say the least.
All the way through the 12.11 betas there were problems with folding, in that the GPU would only run @ 50%.

Sad to say that fault is still in these drivers.

What a shame.

Back to 12.10s for me :P

hmmm i dont get that problem, all good for me so far
 
I'll have a look when I get in locky and see if the same happens, currently on beta11 so I can test before and after :)
 
Thought I'd post a few benchmarks I did earlier:
All tests are done using latest CAPS and spec in sig. Where it says OC, it is 1050/1200. Also worth noting I'm running Windows 7 HP 64-bit.
Heaven Benchmark was used, using these settings:
API: DirectX11
Tessellation: Disabled
Shaders: High
Anistropy: 4x
Stereo 3D: Disabled
Multi monitor: No
Anti-aliasing: Off
Full screen: Yes
Resolution: System (1920x1080)

12.11 BETA11 No OC:
Time: 259.51
Frames: 17388
FPS: 67.0031
Min FPS: 38.0136
Max FPS: 132.916
Scores: 1687.81

13.1 No OC:
Time: 259.507
Frames: 17316
FPS: 66.7265
Min FPS: 34.7069
Max FPS: 129.061
Scores: 1680.84

13.1 was worse when no overclock was applied.

12.11 BETA11 OC:
Time: 259.511
Frames: 20240
FPS: 77.9929
Min FPS: 39.0874
Max FPS: 150.49
Scores: 1964.64

13.1 OC:
Time: 259.51
Frames: 20239
FPS: 77.9893
Min FPS: 40.224
Max FPS: 150.333
Scores: 1964.55

The two scores were very similar when overclocked.

Haven't managed to try out any games yet, but will see what the performance is like.

So, unless you invest in their current line you're out of luck? thats weak. You'd have to be a buying a graphics card every year for support then. What a waste.
 
Blimey, installed over the 12.11 beta's and didn't have to rebuild my eyefinity display set. About time they sorted that annoyance :)

what cable do you use to connect your monitor as it only works with dvi connections not hdmi
 
Am I missing something here

My xfired 7970s are quite happy running benchmarks but when I try and play games on them the system freezes up and crashes unless I disable xfire.

I have tried 12.11 and 13.1
