catalyst 13.1

I got a boost from a score of ~80 on heaven benchmark with my 7950, which is far more than I was expecting. (from about 1650 - 1730)

A quick go on Far Cry 3 showed little to no fps increase at all, and fraps shows huge dips in framerate still, although it has to be said that the game feels a bit smoother than it did before.

As far as the HDMI drivers not installing is concerned, I had the same problem, as did some of the people on that Guru3D thread, and it sounds like it is a bug with the driver files or something. AMD should hopefully be getting on that asap.

I'm interested in this driver as ever since I installed Win 8 I get red screen crashes with BC2.
There seems to be a fix as in change setting.ini when I looked into it, but I'd like to see if this driver addresses anything. I have a 5850 Vapor-X.

Unstable overclock on your cpu or memory, had the same red screen crash on black ops 2. Turned out it was my cpu rather than my gpu.

So in everyone's opinion is it worth me reinstalling fc3 or not? I've struggled to get it playable on both single and dual card setups. Came to the conclusion it was just another poorly coded pile of junk and removed it before xmas :o

I'll leave it then, I know I could arse about with 3rd party programs to get it somewhat playable, but I really shouldn't have to do this for a supposed AAA game with a pair of top end gpus.

It's OK for me :<

Its improved for me, but its still not perfect. Its important to use vsync and triple buffering but disable any frame limiters for me to get the best possible smoothness. The odd hitching still occurs but its getting better.

The drivers are great, farcry 3 still needs work but this was to be expected. The 13.3 beta's should be the breakthrough drivers.

Just installed 13.1 this morning then saw 13.2 beta leak. Will try that out when I'm in

Edit: just seen other thread, maybe not!

It's actually great seeing AMD actively totally changing the way they are developing their drivers. With 13.3 I really think if they get it right AMD should be a no brainer for people if the prices of their cards compared to nvidia stay the same.

Zero core is not working for me again, but I think this is down to windows 8, anyone has any idea what could be causing the cards to be in constant 2d mode?

Hmm,

I Downloaded the AMD Autodetect to see if it would detect my GPU (Gigabyte WF3 7950) and it said I was running the latest version when i was running 12.10..

Ive Manually updated to 13.1 - does anyknow how to correct the program to See my 7950 , Could it be that my GPU has a different BIOS that makes it run at 1000MHz from the Factory?
