So are these drivers better than 7.6 for 2900?

From what everyone is saying no, 7.6's are better as these decrease performance, but they do add the 24xAA.

From my testing there just as good as the 7.6s not really any perf improvements.

just tried that Stalker benchie, i got 107fps average on the buldings one, thats maxed out 1280x1024, with Full Dynamic Lighting, i even played it a bit to see if there was any slowdown, but it was absolutely belting along, even when i got caught up in that mass firefight.

Just ran the short timedemo and got just over 100fps average on that one.

Just ran the two demo's everything maxed at 1280x1024 with the 7.7's averaged 79 on buildings and 74 on short, not too bad I suppose

i just tried lost planet again (1920x1200) fps have gone up from about 13 av - 19, lol from 7.6 - 7.7, so they must do something.

Not bad at all considering ATi are stilll heavly optimising their drivers for this engine

I tried the Lost Planet DX10 demo a couple of hours ago, I got 15fps at the start and then closed the game.

How do you fine xfire performance in general in games? Considering trading up to a crossfire setup. Got any pics of your case internals?

I thought you were on NVIDIA..., or did you get a 2900?

I didnt change any settings so it was 1280x720 all high except: no AA, texture filter 4x, HDR medium, Shadow quality medium, motion blur low.

It's interesting how crossfire scaling is going with the new 2600's on the 7.7's. I seen a forum link and cant remember it now but it actually makes those cards could have a decent future...well in the terms of a low budget crossfire setup.

Was basically a case of at time Crossfire was a 50% increase and a 100%increase, SLi with the 8600GT's gave nowhere close to 100% and I think around 50% was the top for them. Both drivers need would but on this set crossfire for the budget 2600 is starting to show potential
