Nvidia release official drivers far less frequently than ATI - all these "leaked" drivers you seek are nothing to do with Nvidia officially releasing updates...

Nvidia only do about 2-3 sets a year, the old 8800 GTX/GTS for example have only had about 7-8 drivers since they came out in November 2006, where as ATi cards have had about 25 since then.

Actually ive just checked, and found they done 5 drivers last year, so my apologies.

The ones i was posting were all leaked beta's, as at that time it was the only way to get drivers.

I'm hoping they boost single-gpu performance with this driver. The mobility 3450 in my laptop chugs a bit in places in Oblivion.

Yes but I don't have £1,000 plus to spend on an XPS laptop with 8800 ZOMG SLI type graphics.

Fair enough, but no amount of driver optimisation is going to make that chip anything other than terrible for gaming unfortunantly.

hehe. that type of card is the £20 that i put in my dads pc so he could run vista! it doesnt do much more than that tho, get good fps on half-life 1 tho hehehe

He does have a point, it's pathetic that AMD still lacks basic features and that they would rather have a marketing stunt than actually ship a product that works.

WHAT are you talking about ??? What doesnt work ? Your PC , Your Windows Install or your GFX card ? I Have been using ATI/AMD products for years and NEVER had a single issue , hardware or driver issues. Their drivers/products have always been rock solid IMO!

I've been happy with the drivers up until 8.12, and since then I blue screen an hell of a lot with a ATI3DVAG.dll being the cause. I rolled back drivers, used a driver cleaner and reinstalled older versions and the problem is still here.

A quick google of ATI2DVAG.dll BSOD brings up posts from 7 years ago!! Will it ever get fixed?

I want nhancer options for ati if they did something like that i would be very happy.

Most "driver" problems with ATi I have found in my experience are attributed to bad overclockers, undervolting, PSU etc.
