Caught between two ladies...

I hope we don't have a new thread a year down the line. Help, my girlfriend has split up with me and wants half of my house. It does appear to have moved along rapidly.

Seems to be standard British culture these days. If you dont move into together within the first 6 to 9 months of a relationship then it's a failure.....lol.

Just buy a nurse's uniform for the 26-year-old and get the best of both.

Having married a nurse I can confirm that nurses uniforms in real life are butters and look nothing like what they do in 'special movies.'

Also, geezer butler? If you were the real one that would be quality lol

Sounds like she's started wearing your trousers also.
She sounds like a bit of a bunny boiler and I'm surprised you haven't had a thankyou card from her Ex. for taking her off his hands.

She has pretty much taken over the flat. My wardrobe space has diminished significantly. She has way too many shoes. She's going to need a separate wardrobe just for them! I'm not allowed any Superman related posters in the bedroom. And I had to shuffle around other posters in the front room.

You should have separate wardrobes anyway. :D

However, aside from that I'd suggest actually setting boundaries before she has you totally under the thumb.

Guess it depends on the reasons, My ex-gf moved countries and we moved in together after 2 years, didn't even last a year living together.

My current gf moved in after roughly 6 months, she was paying £500 towards a room near her work but was always over at mine as the place was... well not that nice. From a financial point it made sense, I spread my rent out a bit (she only pays £400 till her master is done) and she wasn't paying for something she doesn't use :)

I found moving in together earlier was better, you find your partners good/bad habits early on.

Good on you OP. I remember reading this thread back when you posted it. Thank you for updating us.

The poster move is not a good sign, Hopefully you won't have to post a thread titled "gf sold my pc without me knowing" any time soon :p

Sounds like things are going well :) Like most others I take issue with the speed of it and the controlling aspect, but I'm sure you know more on it than any of us so not my place to judge.

Congrats, seems you made the right decision, thank you for updating :)

Too late! I am already under the thumb! Lol. :p

She is a woman who knows what she wants, but is happy to discuss it before she goes for it.

I can't complain. Tho I did warn her, if she does anything to my Superman collection (which consists of statues and graphic novels and other bits here and there), then she's out the door.

I am slowly getting her into my world of geekdom. Tho I made the mistake of showing her the Marvel movies. She's a fan of Iron Man now. Oh and she loves her sports. Especially football. She supports Liverpool. Think of that what you will. Lol.

No, she is not a fan of Iron Man, she fancies RDJ, but that's OK. :D :o

Nowt wrong with Liverpool.

Tell her your phone contract is coming to an end soon and can't afford to renew.

Edit - should have read the whole thread.

OP - you're a fool! My GF and I started out watching Buffy and Futurama in between "sessions", she played RPGs with me, even let me indulge my PC building hobby. Fast forward 12 years: Married, 2 kids, haven't touched a PC in over 4 years. Any souvenirs from my younger days have long since gone on eBay.

Save yourself while you still can!!!!!
