also that Deco as well...bloody ugly looking muppet he is...nice dives he was showing off in the game ;):p

gotta love deco, average player at best, but a diving cheating **** - which works well in a league like la liga, second champions league final for him, did jack **** in both and won both

Unlucky Arsenal, just wasn't meant too be: As for the ref well he was shocking, but I wouldn't say he was more shocking towards Arsenal than Barca or visa versa I generally feel he was crap overall.

Eboue's dive for the Arsenal goal was waved away by linesman as a dive but given by the ref? Didn't see Wenger complaining about that!! There were some bad tackles by both teams that deserved at least yellow but nothing given, but thats the inconsistency of refs thesedays.

Henry had a glorious chance at the start to open the scoring then he had another glorious chance mid way through so I mean they had chances just didn't take them.

I disagree with Henry though I thought Eto'o was class, he turned Campbell inside out and was unlucky by hitting the post, he also got shots in and ran Eboue (who is a class act) ragged down the flank and gave Barca plenty of options.

Ronnie did have a very very poor game by his standards but every player can be given a bad game because its not very often you say that about him.

Arsenal were very unlucky not to hold out for the 1 - 0 but when you try that tactic against a side like Barca its always a lottery as to whether or not it will pay off.

I am now anxious as to whether or not Henry will decide to stay in the Premiership as I think the game in England will sorely miss such a talent and such a professional, he is pure class no doubt about it and deserved more than anyone to be lifting that trophy tonight, but it just wasn't meant to be, better luck next time, well played Arsenal they did themselves and english football proud!

Hate to go off topic but weve seen this only the weekend.

West ham...............far better team in fa cup, end up losing.

Arsenal...........far better team, end up losing.

oh well :p

arsenal to sheffield united 4tw  :D

nah he will sign a 2-3 year sign at arsenal i hope/ reckon.

like you say the ref made the game rubish by his rubbish decisions. God knows what the papers will say tomorrow maybe have some stuff like urs meirers when he disallowed sol header in Euro 2004.

Ill start by declaring myself as Neutral.

What a shockingly poorly officiated game. That ref needs to be shot. Felt a bit sorry for arsenal getting robbed like that but they shouldn't expect to score 1 goal then defend the rest of the match.
Man U v Bayern Munich 1999 anyone?

I've seen him enough times to have that opinion, he's a world class player no doubt, but Henry, Gerrard and Etoo are better. He's not the only reason Barca have done so well in the last few years, Puyol, Etoo, Guily and now Messi are damn good themeselves

Sure you have, lets see how world class Gerrard looks in June. Gerrards had a good year but there's no way I'd pick him for a side ahead of Ronaldinho.

Unlcuky Arsenal, can't be a nice feeling tbh after doing so well to get to the final. Have to admit was cheering Barca on!

Imo Ref ruined the match, i know he played to the rules but i think the game was shaping up really nice prior to the sending off incident.

Spanish teams have taken both European cups at the last hurdle.

i was hoping of an entertaining game tonight....

but it was more of an angry game.

bring liverpool to the next cup final :p.. at least i might enjoy the game instead of being angry

p.s. i hate barca

i hate ronaldinho

i hate deco

this just fuels my ever growing pure anger for F.C. Barcelona

after that game i cant see henry moving to barca. if lehmann hadnt of made such a stupid mistake it could have gone the other way. The two barca goals were poor misses by alumnia, although its not his fault really. Add to all that a shocking ref and a bunch of cheaters it was unlucky :(

Sorry for swearing earlier on, I was actually considering crying at one point.

I feel so so so so so gutted.

At the end of the day I don't even feel peeved at Barcelona. They were the better team in 90 minutes and deserved to win it. I just feel after the awful season we've had something like this would have been amazing but it wasn't to be

Oh and bloody Almunia. TWO SHOTS AT THE NEAR POST? DIE IN THE FACE!!!

potentially great game ruined by awful decisions. I'm an arsenal fan and i'm not sure we deserved to win overall but I'd have preferred an entertaining 4-0 defeat to watching a game be destroyed by such poor refereeing.

Yes Gerrard does rubbish for England, that hardly means he's not a world class talent more to do with Sven Eriksson's idiotic formation and tactics.

I'm sorry, but to anyone who thinks Arsenal were robbed, you're clutching at straws!

Was Lehmans tacke a red card? YES
Should advantage have been played? YES

Lehmans sending off was the best case scenario. Arsenal could easily have been a man and a goal down. From one nil up Arsenal were two goals better off than they should have been. Time and fatigue told in the end. Yes Arsenal could have one the game, but they were by no means robbed. I thought 2-1 was a reasonably fair reflection of the game.

The referee was crap though. that free against Reyes was shocking

as a neutral ive been left with a very sour bitter taste...

the ref was hideous
Difficult to say whether they were robbed. If Lehmann didn't have his lapses in sanity, maybe 11-vs-11 they would have gone on to win. That's not entirely the ref's fault; put him in that situation and it's giving him the opportunity to get it wrong. So don't put him in the situation. Blame Lehmann for Arsenal going a man down, not the ref.

Arsenal's goal came directly from a dive. My sympathy levels dropped to pretty much zero after that. But I agree, for the most part the referee was woeful. First half, he gave little in Barcelona's favour (other than the sending off, of course) -- and exactly the opposite in the second half. It's a shame when refereeing decisions (or lack of) overshadow a game of football, especially one that important.
