Ref had a Barca shirt? :confused:

Lehman was rightly sent off.
Barcelona had a goal wrongly dissallowed
Arsenal scored from a freekick won by a dive.
Simulation is a bookable offence
Eboue was already on a yellow card when he dived to win the freekick

Not like they were too hard done by really..

The ref was poor, yes, but biased, hardly.

Still should have the class to boss a midfield against some of the teams we played in the qualifiers, with world class players around him.

Gerrard on his day is awesome, like in last years euro final and the fa cup final. But sadly that doesnt happen often enough for me, especially for england.
 
Sorry Goons - you've been "barca'ed"......same ref as Chelsea, and oh look - a sending off in the first part of the match...you'll never know whether you could have won the game or not....terrible decisions all round....Eboue dive, lack of yellows against T.Henry....somewhat ironic feeling as we had it some months ago....could you have done it 11v11? You'll never know.
It was their "turn" to win it this year, if rumour is to be believed....Shevchenko header in the semi?
Apparently T.Henry has just said that he agrees with JM's comments about the ref - expect a hefty ban/fine and being branded an "enemy of football".
Anyway - whatever you do, don't post your thoughts about how you are angry with the ref because a sleazy Sun reporter will have a lovely little "Arsenal Death Threat Referee" story as soon as you can say "fix".

He should have saved the first one, but I have pity on him for the 2nd, it was hit with such power that it could have deflected off his legs and gone anywhere. Unfortunately for him it went in :(
 
Bad refereeing, but Arsenal have nothing to complain about. Let’s remember here it was their own fault they had a man off, 11 against 11 they would still have been out played. Arsenal were just as dirty if not more. Eboue? What was that all about near the end of the game and also the free kick whch should never have been.

All in all I think it evened out, the better team won, whether it was down to bad refereeing or not you wouldn’t have seen Arsenal say anything if they won under the circumstances. And Arsenal robbed? I don’t think so, were they expecting to win against Barca with 1-0? they paid the price.

Unlucky Arsenal, they have come far something to be proud of boys.

saves me typing it really, unlucky arsenal, but henry blew 2 clear cut chances, you played well, but barca were the better team

their supporters have about as much class as sol campbells left peg though, although the travelling 'library' tonight did the team proud...

11 against 11 they were the better team creating the better chances, so why do you think they'd have been outplayed?

Erm, maybe the ref should've book most of the Barca team then. :rolleyes:

Oh, also when Lehman commited the foul most of the Barca players were jestering to the ref to send him off........which actually is a bookable offence!
