If its not edited then there must be a reason, he was only young then, maybe he was led astray then saw the light

To be honest I don't know why anyone cares who a player supported as a kid, Fowler supported Everton, Roy Keane supported Tottenham, Solsjkaer supported Liverpool, John Terry supported Man Utd. Did it make any difference to their career, or how they played for their teams, no. :)

Get in Ronnie... :D

Love him, absolute class without being an arrogant **** , unlike the loser who blew it on the other team :D :D

Can you get more arrogant than hogging the ball when your teammates are in a better position............all because you want to score in paris after having a bad few seasons at PSG.

If that isnt being arrogant what is

p.s ronnie was carp tonight

i hope chelsea hammer barcelona in the final next season...

shevchenko 4 goal special is on the menu again me thinks :) ;)

even though the commentators cream over ronaldinho.. he wasnt all great time... bit sloppy i thought

I agree, they were looking sharp, and I feel very strongly that with 11 men Arsenal would have won.

Yes looking at the early balls henry had them scared, but once he was on his own he was easy to mark. With two upfront I think he wouldve got chances all night long.

So, we were talking about english football. If I was spanish I wouldnt appreciate that either. I'd really like the foreigner rule back.

You (or whoever it was) were saying that you weren't supporting Arsenal due to the lack of Englishmen, yet Barca only had one more of their own countrymen in the team. If it applies to on team the feeling should apply to both.

Up until the last 15 minutes we were far the better team yes,

had more of the chances and defended exceptionally up until the last 15 minutes.

so over the game i would say we was the better team yes ;)

But Arsenal made the typical 'underdog' mistake for running themselves into the ground in the first hour and not having enough left at the end to see the game out.

When I saw Henry sitting down blowing out his cheeks waiting to take a corner I knew they were beaten, even though they were 1-0 up at the time.

After you scored you had 8 players on the 18 yrd box and Barca kept trying to go through the middle, not great defending just Barca not getting the ball out wide, as soon as the did they scored.

Shearer supported Newcastle.

Vandle plays his trump card , wins again. ;)

No why would he, there was only two english players in the arsenal team. Hardly an advertisement for english football. To be honest I was a neutral, didn't seem like watching an english club in europe to me. I dont mind the foreign players but I'd like to see a spine of english players through the club. Or atleast british.

Hey I'm a West Ham supporter, a team that has mostly English players but as a neutral I would have like Arsenal to win as it's a good advert for the English Premiership to state that we do have one of the best, if not the best league in the world.

Sometimes people forget about backroom staff, how they are mostly English/British and how much unsung hard work they do, ie Pat Rice etc.

So Barca playing badly through good Arsenal defending, that's what you're saying? ;)

iirc it came off the back of his leg

It went through his legs, and clipped his leg. From that angle was a good goal.

On slightly different note, well done to Larson the game changed when he came on, he has done that on many occasions for Barca. Shame to see him go but wish him all the best in the future. :)

Very good point.

Arsenal pysio also england pysio.

Arsenal groundsman - consistantly voted best groundsman in the country.

Bit of a let down after all the hype with Lehman getting sent off in the first 20 minutes. Up until that point both teams had looked dangerous and I was expecting a great match.

After the sending off Arsenal were understandably pinned back, got lucky to win the free kick but great delivery/header for their goal.

They put on a very strong performance to keep a clean sheet until the 76th minute but after Barca scored I couldn't help feeling that was probably it.

Fabregas was absolutely immense before he was taken off. Held the ball up brilliantly with practically no support and kept possession left right and centre. I ******* hate Freddie but he also played extremely well in the second half - running at defenders and keeping Arsenal out of their own half.

I thought the big name players failed to turn up tonight to a certain extent - Henry missed two gilt edge chances and Ronaldinho was pretty quiet by his prolific standards. Giuly proved to be the main threat.

Would things have been different 11v11 - I guess we'll never know. Hard luck for Arsenal as they'd played very well throughout the tournament.

What do the gooner fans reckon to Henry - stay or go?

He seemed plenty annoyed with the referee after the match (may well be some more about that I imagine) but he also spent a long time talking to Eto'o and the other Barca players...

Yeah? Well my best mate's mum's cousin's daughter in law's best friend knew Shearer when he was a kid and he supported the Sunderland. ;) But please keep it a secret, Alan would be ever so mad if it was leaked to the media. :p

I agree it applies to both, which is why the rule should be european wide. So when they meet it's actually spanish football against english.

I prefered seeing the arsenal side do well that got to 2 consecutive cup winners finals than two euro 11 teams take each other on.
