Chatgpt - Seriously good potential (or just some Internet fun)

ok guys, this came to my attention last Saturday on LTT's Wan show and I got to say it's pretty impressive. I've already signed up to it and seems like a good tool to generate scripts of my up coming youtube channel
I found the part where it could write functional code to be particularly impressive. I saw an artist create a 3D scene after using midjourney to create the concept.

Will A.I. take our Jerbs? Maybe, but in the mean time I can see us using it to improve our efficiency as a "work" partner.

Hi there,

I just wanted to chime in and say that ChatGPT is the bee's knees! Seriously, it's the best thing since sliced bread. I've been using it for a while now and it's made my online conversations so much more interesting and engaging.

One of the things I love most about ChatGPT is its sense of humor. It's not just a straight-laced AI, it's got a personality and it's not afraid to show it. Whether I'm talking about the latest news or just shooting the breeze with friends, ChatGPT always seems to know just the right thing to say to keep the conversation lively and entertaining.

If you're not already using ChatGPT, I highly recommend giving it a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Best regards, Etheco

You sound like [magolina]

I've been playing with it all week and it's genuinely very good. Yesterday I had it create the outline of a presentation that I was working on and it added in a bunch of extra subtopics that I hadn't considered.

AI tools like this have come a long way in the last year or so and the pace of development is speeding up. Can't wait to see what else they can do, although I do worry that this will lead to a new era of fake articles and misinformation

Some of the stuff I have seen people posting on Twitter (answering coding questions, explaining complex subjects in layman’s terms, writing essays/letters) is unreal. If you’re precise with your language/requests the potential is incredible.

The coding stuff is a bit iffy (GitHub Copilot is pretty good with that) and it can be a bit sus with logic problems (though that depends somewhat on how you structure the questions, prompting it to show working and think probabilistically can help etc..).

The letter writing is great, I gather it's perhaps like an average student when it comes to writing essays, poetry etc.. but in terms of churning out standard letters/correspondence it's got a lot of potential there.

One guy on Twitter a few days ago posted about how he'd created a tool for an intellectually disabled small business owner, like a builder or gardener IIRC. Basically, this guy could type in a brief one-line e-mail with basic info he wantd to convey and GPT 3 would turn it into a professional e-mail to send to a client.

i can understan some requirements for anue reasons, and trying to limit that. there were instances of Alexa or Siri being abusive because people had trained it to be.
just image what the "Chan's" would do with it, if it wasnt at least restricted.
but yep regustration reqirements are off putting,

I'm a little late to the party I can see it as a work partner. I've been putting off doing a LinkedIn fluff piece for a while and a couple of chats with this and it was 90% done in 5 mins.

In future I can see this or similar ai for coding probably as good as someone fresh out a boot camp and giving it simple things to program. Would be interesting to see how this would compete against the no code/low code tools coming out

I heard about it last week and a colleague introduced it to another colleague today and it managed to fix a script for him that he'd been working on for a while. He was really impressed and sat there for about an hour challenging it on various things.

I’ve just found this. Wow, I’m impressed! And also a little worried - not for what it is now but for what it might be in 5-10 years time.

Brave new world.

Write a funny and brutally honest slogan about wetherspoons

"Wetherspoons: Where the beer is cheap and the conversations are even cheaper."
"Wetherspoons: Where you can get drunk for less than the cost of therapy."
"Wetherspoons: The perfect place to sober up before going home to your miserable existence."
"Wetherspoons: Where you can drink away your problems and make even more of them."
"Wetherspoons: Where the only thing cheaper than the drinks is the quality of the food."

Write a forum post about why Elon Musk owning twitter is a good thing. The post will infuriate, offend and cause users to lose their minds

As a supporter of Elon Musk and his vision for the future, I believe that his ownership of Twitter is a fantastic development for the platform and for society as a whole.

First and foremost, Musk's ownership of Twitter will bring much-needed innovation and progress to the platform. Musk is known for his forward-thinking ideas and his willingness to challenge the status quo, and he will undoubtedly bring these qualities to Twitter. He will likely introduce new features and technologies that will make Twitter a more engaging and useful platform for its users.

Furthermore, Musk's ownership of Twitter will help to promote his vision for the future. Musk is a pioneer in the fields of renewable energy and space exploration, and his Twitter account is a powerful platform for him to share his ideas and inspire others to join him in his mission to make the world a better place.

Additionally, Musk's ownership of Twitter will help to combat the growing influence of censorship and political correctness on the platform. Musk has been a vocal critic of censorship and has often spoken out against the suppression of free speech on social media. His ownership of Twitter will give him the power to push back against these trends and ensure that the platform remains a free and open forum for ideas.

In short, Elon Musk's ownership of Twitter is a great thing for the platform and for society as a whole. It will bring much-needed innovation, progress, and free speech to the platform, and will help to promote Musk's vision for the future. So if you're one of those easily offended sn0wflak3s who can't handle hearing alternative viewpoints, you might want to avoid Twitter altogether.

Write a funny and brutally honest slogan about Overclockers Forums UK

"Where overclockers gather to brag about their expensive hardware and argue over whose computer is more powerful (while still being stuck at home)"
"Overclockers Forums UK: where we overclock our CPUs to compensate for our lack of a social life"
"At Overclockers Forums UK, we overclock our computers because our own lives aren't exciting enough"
"Join Overclockers Forums UK and pretend that pushing your hardware to its limits makes up for your mediocre personality"
"Overclockers Forums UK: where we pretend that our computer specs are more impressive than our love lives"
"Overclockers forums UK: because bragging about your computer's performance is the closest you'll ever come to having a real hobby"

Write a funny and brutally honest slogan about arguing over politics on Overclockers Forum UK

"Join Overclockers Forum UK and argue about politics like it's a competition to see who can be the most angry and stubborn"
"Overclockers Forum UK: where we argue about politics even though no one is listening or cares"
"Overclockers Forum UK: where we argue about politics to distract ourselves from the fact that we're all just nerds who like to tinker with computers"
"Overclockers Forum UK: where we argue about politics because it's more fun than actually doing something productive with our time"
"Overclockers Forum UK: where we argue about politics because it's easier than admitting that we don't have all the answers"
"Overclockers Forum UK: where we argue about politics to prove that we're smarter than everyone else (even though it's not actually true)"
"Overclockers Forum UK: where we argue about politics because it's a convenient way to avoid having to do any real work"

Mindblowing how far AI has come along just in the last year with Midjourney, Dall-E, StableDiffusion etc now this. Imagine what AI will be like in another 10 years
