Cheapest UK 4G and 5G Unlimited Mobile Data Plans Compared – 2024

Anyone use ID Mobile? My Plusnet sim only ends next month, ID seem to have some decent offers. 24GB for £8 a month (30 day rolling). Paying £10 for 20GB at the moment which will go up next month.

ID Mobile use Three and I switched to Smarty (also Three) from EE about 3 months ago and not regretting it.
I get 50gb for £10 but next week my wife is coming off Virgin (Vodafone) and going onto Smarty (Three) where they are now doing 60gb for £10.
I also used my Smarty in Benidorm and Lanzarote recently.
The In Laws who go everywhere with us also have ID Mobile and never have a problem.

I may have said above but when I had my new phone last year and decided I had to come off EE ripping me off I went in a local phone shop, took 3 Sims off the wall and tried them for £10 each Smarty (Three), O2 and Voxi (Vodafone).
Three walked over the other two for me so I had the Smarty sim.

I was with Three for yonks, some patchy spots in Oxfordshire (at home) but they couldn't compete with Plusnet since my internet is with them aswell. Might go with ID mobile, I barely go over 20gb a month as I use Wifi where I can.

Just remember if you had problems with Three you will have problems with ID Mobile and Smarty, they are all the same.

wi-fi calling is the solution I'm looking for for a flakey home 4g signal , but I'm not aware of any cheap 4g/5g data contracts with that. (so use a voip service from home pc for dialling out.)

Yep that's what I was doing when at home as the signal was pants!
Looking for something under £10 with 20GB+ data

Smarty use Three don't they?

I've been with Three for about 20 years as they always had the best deals and roaming etc but just wow the coverage has got absolutely terrible, especially in London Zone 2 where I live and Zone 1 where I work.

So after a very long time I think it's finally time to say bye-bye to them. I would NOT recommend anyone to sign up with Three/Smarty

I went to London once to Westfield and the network coverage was shocking, thankfully I don't go anywhere near there these days lol

I might go with Smarty offer of £10 a month 60Gb data offer (was 30gb), Topcashback of £8.50 and as Troop said no RPI +3.5% increase every sodding year!

That's cos you live in the countryside, unfortunately here in the city it's the opposite. Just did test after finishing work and got 44Mb down on 5g. At home on 5g get 10Mb down.. it's shockingly bad.

I don't live in the countryside. I live in a big town, with big towns right next to it. (Maidstone, Gillingham, Rochester etc) I'm 20 minutes away from the city.

Moved from EE unlimited £28 to smarty unlimited for £15 a month. Must be in a good area as the speeds are fantastic. Much faster than EE, over double.even in peak times speed test shows 600mbs, normally hit 700-800.

Ita that good I hot-spot the ps5 and series x to it when downloading games.

Switched from EE unlimited +5G with BT Sport add on at £35 a month to iD Mobile unlimited with 5G at £16 a month (1 month rolling contract)

I have a rolling contract for my 5G broadband as well. Which is great if the service suddenly tanks I have the freedom to move or switch to fttp etc in the future once its available in my area.

I could have got a sim from scancom for cheaper but I'll consider it once I set up a new a new company again.

Apparently with the Virgin Mobile O2 thing the cheapish (£13/m) plan on my car backup phone has been upgraded to unlimited data from 15GB...
