I'm sorry, but I can't help but chuckle at Joe Cole having his name thrown around with Shevchenko and Henry etc

Why?BoomAM said:Arsenal instead of Lyon?
Odd one that. Each to their own i suppose.
I can sorta see why, but their cup run doesnt really make up for domestic form imo.
Suprised you agreed with the other 3 tbh. Especially a certain team on that list.![]()
The only reason for that is he wasn't a big name foreign signingHangTime said:I'm sorry, but I can't help but chuckle at Joe Cole having his name thrown around with Shevchenko and Henry etc![]()

I just thourght it was because Joe Cole was ****Gilly said:The only reason for that is he wasn't a big name foreign signing![]()
joke. But in all seriousness he may be good but he is not in the same league as the likes of Henry, Sheva, Rooney and GerrardGilly said:He's a guaranteed starter for England and the best side (on paper) in the world when he's fit. Thats pretty much as close to a star player as you get![]()

Its an insult to the likes of Henry & Sheva to count Rooney amongst their names.BaZ87 said:But in all seriousness he may be good but he is not in the same league as the likes of Henry, Sheva, Rooney and Gerrard

Ok he is in Englands side but i would put him in the best side in the world. How can you compare Joe Cole with the likes of Ronny, Messi and KakaGilly said:He's a guaranteed starter for England and the best side (on paper) in the world when he's fit. No matter what you say Rooney is a star, he'll just be an even bigger star in the future. Ok maybe he hasn't got the consistency of an Henry but in the big games he always performs. He was by far the best player in Euro 2004 and has carried Man Utd to second in the league and he's only 20 years old.BoomAM said:Its an insult to the likes of Henry & Sheva to count Rooney amongst their names.
He's good. He'll become one of the best, but at the moment, he's not a patch on either of those two players.
And the sooner this country realises it, the sooner its fans can stop panicing about Englands chances at the WC.
I'll leave Gerrard out there as well, as he's not a striker or a forward.![]()

Great for the Premier League.. I'm just worried fergie hasn't got his bottom in gear and signed anyone yet.
I hear Aguero has gone to Athletico... So that's Shev to Chelsea, Ruud to Milan, Torres to us
I can dream can't i?![]()
The best side in the world is Chelsea. I didn't say world XI.BaZ87 said:Ok he is in Englands side but i would put him in the best side in the world. How can you compare Joe Cole with the likes of Ronny, Messi and Kaka![]()
Ok misunderstanding over the side. But as for Messi; i have been far more impressed with him this season than Eto'o and RonnyGilly said:The best side in the world is Chelsea. I didn't say world XI.
BTW, Messi? Behave.
