One only has to look back to Katie Piper to see the damage (mentally and physically) it doesJust such a scummy thing to do to someone, with life changing consequences.

That does not sound even remotely like road rage. It sounds like domestic violence. The use of a corrosive substance screams premeditation.
Yeah I read the article this morning still half asleep and thought then why have they not arrested the woman's partner/husband - sounds like the prime suspect there. The fact he was in the car means this wasn't some random attack.
Have a quick google on “Country” and “City” and come back and share the difference.
Which decade did education get so bad things like the above have to be explained?
What sort of backwater thinking considers corrosive substances and a complete disregard for women’s and children’s rights acceptable in 21st century London?
Worst 'I shop at Waitrose' post yet.Have we got to the inevitable stage of the thread yet where a bunch of weird middle aged men who live in some bumblesquat town in the middle of nowhere start cryarsing about how dangerous London is yet even though statistically it’s really quite safe.
If not will check back in a few hours, just off to Waitrose in my stab proof vest.

They need to think of new punishments for this kind of stuff.

If the kids that he threw acid/bleach on are his... that seems like double punishment. When you find him, you kill him.
After you kill him, you find his blood relatives and sterilize them.
Only by doing both of those things would you improve things into the future.

Well the conclusion of parental sin passing down is that Britain is rather exposed to that. Its not punishment, its tasks designed to achieve a goal, which is a world with less violent criminals, or people who lack enough self control.
You think violent criminals all carry a crime gene? Its not punishment, its tasks designed to achieve a goal, which is a world with less violent criminals, or people who lack enough self control.
If it was acceptable then this wouldn't be on the front page of the BBC News website and there wouldn't be a manhunt for him. What sort of backwater thinking considers corrosive substances and a complete disregard for women’s and children’s rights acceptable in 21st century London?
It's not acceptable to you or I, or even vast swathes of this country but in some places its sadly commonplace and seen as reasonable. If it was acceptable then this wouldn't be on the front page of the BBC News website and there wouldn't be a manhunt for him.
