Chinese Grand Prix 2010, Shanghai - Race 4/19

Thank you Paddy Lowe for clearing up all the armchair expert FUD surrounding LH vs JB tyre wear... :)

well maybe he needs to look at the tyres after THIS race - seemed to be quite a big difference visually for one racing lap difference

He was pushed into Webber by Vettel wasn't he?

I dont think Vettel came/tried to come further into the track, he was going straight along the curb, and to me it looked like Hamilton turned into Webber

Err very poor form from the press conference man. Asking about investigations/penalties that the drivers know nothing about... Very poor form.

It's Crofty from 5live isn't it?
I think it is fair to assume Hamilton would have been told there might be an investigation into being side by side with Vettel.

The whole pitstop release thing is grossly unfair for those who happen to be in the garage in front.

Agreed. I'm puzzled no-one seems to be complaining about Vettel clearly forcing Hamilton over in the pit? Surely that's equally as stupid as going into the pits side by side or being released at the same time?

As Eddie said, they were released near enough at the same time - if Hamilton had got away without some wheelspin it would never have been an issue.

Agreed if you're in a pit box behind the person you're racing you get your pit stop over with before the person you're racing then the pit team in front has to hold their car because you're in the excusion zone!

Just got out of bed because I couldn't be bothered posting during the race, glad I didn't since it was an awesome race again :D

Congrats Mclaren and Button, mentions for Red Bull because I feel kinda sorry for them after not winning again from pole.

Lastly, thank you knip for dancing o_O

This. There was tons of room for both cars to run side by side, but Vettel practically forced him into the pit boxes. Extremely dangerous and he should be the one getting penalised.

Good race. Very pleased for Button.

Very disappointed with Alonso's pit lane entry move on Massa and the fact that he jumped the start.

Looking at the replay, I agree with Concrete - Vettel looking more dangerous than Hamilton. Don't think either should get penalised though.

Completely - the best advantage to have in the pits is to be at the beginning of the pit lane. Everyone has to hold for you on the way out.

Mercedes should think about that at the next race - they get to choose which end they are

Called doing their job.
Its poor form on Mclarens PR for not instructing their drivers what to say, even if it is in the few minutes before the press conference and the ceremony.
