Chinese Grand Prix 2010, Shanghai - Race 4/19

I'm trying to think why am I awake... and I don't put a finger on it! Looks like no sleep for today. Do they still do practice highlights on iPlayer?

Well there was a fairly spectacular moment when the front of Buemi's car collapsed underneath him. The only other incident was Alonso's flame grilled engine.

I hope I can watch it live.. Got Dissertation in Sunday and 5k essay in Monday so time is looking unlikely!

Will be rather hard to not find out the results till ~4pm Monday!

Il have to watch and work I guess...

I like to ignore the world when im watching F1 though.. 3 hours of bliss escape!

Haha I was in the same position as you a week or so ago. I only realised tonight that I forgot to print off my transcript for an interview I done.... which is not cool!

Wow.. that's all I can say..

I've heard of one wheel collapsing, but never two..

As for Fred and his flame grilled engine... *teeheehee*

Not a good year for ferrari

Holy crap - Failure in the upright causing an immediate failure in the opposite upright.
Last time we saw anything like that was in 2008 with DC going over the kerb and having both lots of front suspension fail - but that was at relatively low speed and they didn't go flying over the debris barrier.

I can understand why the cameraman dived for cover.

And another engine fubar for Ferrari. Nice. :D

Mercedes and Renault engines filling the top 9 positions in FP1. I guess Renault really have caught up in engine power. Yay for the engine development freeze!

.

Wait a minute....

Highlights - China first practice
Watch highlights from the first practice session of the Chinese Grand Prix as Jenson Button leads the way and Sebastien Buemi loses both front wheels in a bizarre incident on the back straight.
