To be fair Prost did it once at Imola...that said, he was obviously in a different league to DC
Monaco 1994. Both pole and 2nd on the grid were left empty with the Brazilian and Austrian flag painted on in memory of Senna and Ratzenburger.
Also the first race to have a pitlane speed limit, IIRC.

I was about 11, watching races while on holiday in Majorca.
That's a shame, in which case I retract my comment as I can't see anything other than a McLaren lock-out at the front

He was replaced by none other than Andrea de Cesaris for the majority of the remaining races
The markings on their pit are at a slight angle, because they kept pitting when the redbull pit team were out which meant the drivers had to pull in at a very sharp angle, this way the angle is less sharp.
apparently soI heard on 5 Live that they did it on purpose, meant to save a tenth or two

i'm not sure where they all put themselves, but the infamous 2005 Indianapolis GP probably had an empty slot on pole position

i cant think of a more recent one than that (unless you count Bahrain last year, which was cancelled)
