If he listened to them, he would just do it every lap on the straight. It's only because he's ignored them, they're asking in random places (although they are time delayed)

Can you image if, for example, we got to the last race with Lewis leading the championship from Vettel by 30 points, then Vettel wins the last race with Lewis sixth.

Vettel would take the championship but only by virtue of the last race scoring double points. Frankly if such a thing were to happen I think F1 would lose all its credibility and a shedload of fans. I know I'd stop watching it immediately.

Yes and it's nice to see in real terms how much fuel that saves you. The Mercedes is stupidly faster than the rest of the teams. What I feared with a big rule change

TBH, much as I despise Vettel, yes I would. Basically by introducing a system intended to prolong the championship fight to the last race, they risk that system actually changing the outcome of the championship. If that happens it'll destroy F1. If any driver wins the championship by virtue of those extra points, it will seriously taint that championship and even invalidate it in the eyes of many.
