Chinese Grand Prix 2014, Shanghai - Race 4/19

TBH, much as I despise Vettel, yes I would. Basically by introducing a system intended to prolong the championship fight to the last race, they risk that system actually changing the outcome of the championship. If that happens it'll destroy F1. If any driver wins the championship by virtue of those extra points, it will seriously taint that championship and even invalidate it in the eyes of many.

At the end of the day the rules are the same for everyone, so merc's strategy will chamge to " protect" any lead they may have

Even finishing 3rd /4th is unlikely for Merc at the moment, fifth / sixth finish would only be down to reliability, in which case tough luck

"We know he's a great driver, he's just not used to these cars"

Seriously?! A truly great driver will adapt to whatever he's given and get the best out of it!

Feel exactly the same. It's another retarded rule.

Indeed. But as with a lot on here its very easy to slip into making a valid point but using a very biased example.

The thing is, that's exactly what the rule is for. Its designed to make the final race the decider. If it isn't, the rule failed in its purpose.

Button radios in - car appears to be using ERS power all the time.
Pit wall responds - not much we can do about that at the moment.

*edit*

Arrgghh... 3 lots of pit radio simultaneously from 3 different drivers. Can't quite follow that.

But it's designed to make the last race the decider simply by having more points available which is retarded and anyone who wins by virtue of those additional points alone doesn't deserve it IMHO.

 is hammy rear wing meant to shake that much. Or is it just something we don't see other than on slow mos.

It's a tad disturbing but normal. Vettel's rear wing in a similar slow mo in practice at some point almost looked like it wasn't attached to the car anymore.

Very surprising how much they bump around.

Thing is Hamilton has the fuel and pace to go and show up Rosberg, but ultimately if he cruises to the end that leaves a bit more life in that engine and ends up an advantage in 2-3 races from now.

He's so comfortable in this race.
