What happens if they can't run a race? Do they come back later in the year or just write it off?

Team managers discussed possible race start on Saturday with Whiting. No final decision yet. We hear regular Sunday race more likely. #AMuS
I don't think that's an option. What about spinal injuries and bumpy roads? It might be quicker with a police escort than a helicopter but I'd imagine the helicopter is the safest way to get a patient to hospital.Just evac by road with police escort. Depending on where the hospital is it might be even be any slower.

Lets hope that qualifying and the race can pass with little disruption by the weather and/or smog.
Tell me about it. We've only just got an Air Ambulance in Northern Ireland after the death of the motorcycling medic Dr John Hinds.I suppose only a medical professional can answer that one. Bear in mind that in the UK we don't have any medical helicopters. The NHS relies on a charity (AirAmbulance) that could stop or fold at any time.
Wasn't it Japan a couple of years ago with the same weather problem (not smog though), the weekend that witnessed Bianchi's ultimately fatal accident?
