It's still very close. How have Ferrari done this, is it power or aero where they have gained, or both?
Moaning about Merc and RB's similar suspension setups and getting them removed has definitely helped them. (Quite rightly if they infringe the rules.) But once Merc figure a new/improved suspension method out they'll probably claw some back.
Hence why Ferrari and RBR need to continue moaning about the oil burning Merc do in Qualy - or at least try and replicate it if they can't get it banned. There is no doubt more than a few extra horses are unleashed in Q3 on the Merc engine that allows them to seal pole!

Cars were inspected in Canada last year too to confirm it wasn't happening.
And yet those Merc always seem to be filled to the brim with oil to the extent that there is unusually puffs of smoke coming out (not seen on other cars), some would say that is rather strange!
