Depends on the quality of the chips:
good chips = no sauce
bad chips = sauce

I dont have Ketchup all that often on my Chipz,I prefer Mayo.

If they are Home made chips though,thin and crispy how i like them then i wont bother with either...just salt and pepper....Yum.

Glad to know its not just me that shudders at the thought of eating Ketchup.
Its awful stuff that destroys any trace of flavour that the food has.

I'm a Barbecue Sauce or Mayo on the side type of guy.

Lots of vinegar, then salt then Heinz ketchup like I'm splashing it on Sascha Greys boatrace. Bit of mayo if I'm feeling frisky.

Ketchup is horrible.

Heinz Salad Cream is my basic sauce because it goes with everything, plus those fancy supermarket brand dressings you can get (red pepper + garlic dressing for Chicken, Mustard + Honey for fish).

Depends, most of the time at the side, but sometimes just go for it and smother the things.

Also galic Mayo rules, then tartare sauce, sweet chilli.

Ketchup is pretty low on the list.
