Christian Bale losing it on set of T4 at the DP

Hehe, on one of the celebrity blogs (what would tyler durden do) the latest post is that someone has set his rant to a catchy beat.

Whilst I think he went a little too far, sometimes it's better to let stuff out than to bottle it up. Actors take their trade very seriously, look at Heath Ledger - locked himself in a hotel room for 2 months to perfect the voice and mannerisms of the Joker.

wow, what a ****.
also, what's with the lame american accent? is he trying to stay in character or something?

****

Gave it a listen - possibly a bit unprofessional of Bale, but also of the DP! Sounds like he was trying to adjust set equipment mid scene, and if you really need to concentrate on the scene you don't need that.

To be honest I think Bale was pretty spot on to be annoyed - surely a directory of photography knows not to do things mid-scene?

He's an actor what do you expect, sounds like the DP had walked into the middle of his scene and it wasn't the first time it's happened, of course he's going to sound off.

Man sounds like a **** muncher. I've seen quite a few DoP's at work and it's prettty normal for a cinematographer to be adjusting lights for the next scene while the current scene is being shot. impossible to say because we're not there, but Bale sounds like a complete and utter ****.

I shall repay him by downloading his movies :D.

SO basically, we can expect T4 to have bad lighting and possibly some crazy acting from bad direction?

Swish.

That concerns me too. The silly "I didn't see it happen" response from McG was totally representative (IMO anyway) of a director not in full control of the movie's production.

No doubt they'll cover up all the flaws with lashings of computer generated effects and corrections.

Not really. If the lighting isn't right the director should correct it, no?

Not really dude, the DoP handles 90% of anything relating to the exposure of the film, in many cases a lot of the composition too, depending on the director. It's basically the DoP's job to make the picture 'looks' how the director wants it to look. With a huge ass budget and such massive shooting costs, I wouldn't be aggravating the DoP (although obviously he said nothing back, because he would have lost his job). It's a really tricky art, and I don't doubt being balled at by a moody christian bale is quite a distraction.
