Chromecast

I can't get Netflix to work with Chromecast for months now, either casting from PC, tablet or phone (Nexus 7, iPad Air, iPhone 4 and 5). It loads the Netflix waiting screen (the one you get after what you're watching has finished) but that's it. Lucky I have the PS4 or I wouldn't be able to watch.

No problems casting from Chrome tabs on PC or videos embedded on Chrome pages on Nexus or the Nexus 7 screen itself.
 
I joined the chromecast club today. I already have an htpc but I bought the chromecast and subscribed to Netflix for the first time to see what the experience is like.

So far I love it- the chromecast bit is superfluous for me (but I love its simplicity) but Spotify and Netflix are such good ways of discouraging piracy.

Not a Mac user but I thought it would work on any platform that supports Chrome extensions?

In fact it mentions Mac on here.
If your talking about iDevices well then no, I can't see it happening.
Android can cast its screen so I guess there is no reason to cast a tab.

so amazon has not enabled their 'support' in the uk to cast to chromecast, by allowing you to change the preferred player from silverlight to flash!


I still have ongoing issue of not being able to cast content from netflix via unblock us.

Go to the google support forum - there's a form there you can fill out and they'll sort you out (took less than 24 hours for me) BTW you'll also get 3 months free google play access
which is worth more than the cost of the chromecast on it's own.
 
Thanks found the the thread you were talking about and submitted the form. Hopefully it will take less than 24hrs as well for me
 
Hi All,

Does anyone successfully use of these with a DLNA server?

I have a Buffalo NAS which I currently use to stream to a PS3 etc. but am struggling to find an Android App which will confidently pick up from DLNA and allow casting?
