Chromecast

Do either allow tablet mirroring? What I want to be able to do is stream web video content wirelessly (I.e. an alternative to the tablet being connected by AV cable).

Seen that its dure for sale on the 19th - but didnt see any pricing for it, still might pick myself up one (just to have lol)

I might go for this if it's £30 or so. It'll give my dumb TV an injection of IQ!

I have a Sony blu-ray player (not smart either) and an old WDTV to play media files, so it looks like a Chromecast might be the cheapest way for me to get some online streaming/catch-up services.

Any idea from previous Google launches what time this is likely to become available to order online on Wednesday?

Does anyone know (or can speculate based on importing the US version) if the UK version will work at all when used in EU/rest of the world?

As far as I can tell the devices arent region specific so they should work anywhere. The restrictions are based on your IP so taking a Netflix UK account with you overseas won't work without involving VPN's.

Just spoke to a friend who said its definitely out on Wednesday and will be £30 ...may have to go and pick one up after work.

Perhaps where he works or why he is a valid source  seems obvious really. Is stock plentiful? Will anyone other than Currys/Dixons be selling them?

Thanks, that's what were guessing. £30 lowest but since we get ripped off why not chuck another fiver on it to make it £35. £30 would be great though if true.
