"Someone was mean about my evidentially void, probably-imaginary, indoctrination-based deity... KILL KILL KILL"
This movie was literally written by a Muslim cleric, so... the other Muslims protest too much, methinks.
I would understand if they did it because of not wanting to offend, that's par for the course these days.I don't really like this form of censorship. But I understand cineworlds approach.
Personally I think religion should be fair game. And no religion should get special treatment.
And when the religion gets special treatment due to basically threats its a bad precedent.
I do now want to see the film.
Yes let's generalise a billion people over 100 people protesting a film made by one of those billion peopleI would understand if they did it because of not wanting to offend, that's par for the course these days.
I'm trying to point out that they're basically saying Muslims will get violent if they don't pander to them.

One of the biggest insults to Muslims is showing an image of Mohammed and this film has got him in it.
A few years ago we saw an attack on a French magazine where staff were murdered for portraying Mohammed so yes it's quite serious and the film makers should have known better.
I for one will wait for it on my usual channels to watch.

Its Sunni vs Shia stuff.
Cineworld panders to cancel culture.
Hashtag #lifeofbrian
Not as bad as when some councils banned The Life of Brian due to protests from the CoE lot, so it's nothing new.
Didn't they get pretty uppity with Jerry Springer The Musical too?
