I don't really like this form of censorship. But I understand cineworlds approach.

Personally I think religion should be fair game. And no religion should get special treatment.

And when the religion gets special treatment due to basically threats its a bad precedent.

I do now want to see the film.

Amusing because I can bet you top dollar, and from first hand experience, that many of those Muslim men protesting about how it insults Islam will be the very same people who gamble, backchat about others and use foul language and verbal violence etc etc. Top quality faith keeping for those individuals. Double standards never ceases to amaze me.

I would understand if they did it because of not wanting to offend, that's par for the course these days.

I'm trying to point out that they're basically saying Muslims will get violent if they don't pander to them.

It's a sad state of affairs. That in the UK a company fears violence for a cinema showing.

Caveat.. Not all Muslims!

Thats exactly what the guy behind the film wants. He's an extremist and wants to stir up trouble between the Sunnis and Shias and doesn't believe there should be peace between them.

The "film makers should have known better", or maybe people living in the UK should understand they're living in a country that has freedom of expression, things are allowed to be shown that could be deemed as offensive. Islam isn't special, no one outside of that religion has any obligation not to offend.
