Cities: Skylines

I have heaps of schools, but I also have one huge industrial area and another industrial area way out of the city attached by road/rail, and I still have hughe demand for industrial. My population is about 80k at the moment.

Is it not demand for Office and not Industry?

Yes, why not? Its not online or multiplayer, so just save your city, put it down, and pick it up when its convenient.

I would suggest just getting the base version, play with it and if you start getting in to it, them maybe think about getting some mods on, watch some youtube vids to see the true potential of the game.

What I've seen online is kind of what scares me away from it. I like the scope of the game, and how positive all the reviews are. It just seems to take a long time to build a half decent city, not to mention unlock parts of the game that make it fun.

Depends what you want to get out of it I suppose. A huge city will take a while yes.

What do people recommend as the best DLC for this. I played it quite a lot at launch but haven't for ages, thought I might play it again and figured it would be nice to pick up some of the DLC, especially as its on sale this weekend. Mass Transit looks good, and useful, but any others people would consider must have? I'm thinking of maybe picking up 2 or 3.

I think Mass transit and After dark are two must haves.. snowfall looks interesting so that’ll be my next one, followed by disasters.

Snowfall is cool because trams. You can pick them all up for like a fiver off key sites too.

Yea mass transit and after dark are the only 2 I got

Thank you all, think I'll definitely grab mass transit and after dark for now, maybe snowfall. I might grab more in a future sale but best see if I still enjoy the game first. Gonna grab them from GMG as they're around a fiver plus they also have an extra 22% off code.

^^^ I have all of the DLC's and whilst Snowfall, as an example, didn't bring seasons, I do not like perma frost winter maps, it does bring trams. Not sure why trams or taxis were not in Mass Transit...? So for me there is something in each DLC to make them worth buying, cheaply.

IIRC I did get them all during the sales, sort from Green Cities and I have pre ordered Parklife.

I have not bothered about the music type or concert one, they do not interest me

Thanks. Decided to go with Mass Transit, Snowfall and After Dark in the end. I figured £12.09 for those three was pretty good. Green Cities also looks pretty good, as does Parklife, so maybe I'll grab those in the future at some point.

Totally forgot about Park Lifebeing released.. that said it didn’t hold a massive amount of interest for me. I’ve got back into football manager recently and I tend to stick with one game for a few months, get back into something else for a few months, rinse and repeat.
