City Fibre

Not on an ASUS personally, I have it setup on a MikroTik Router.
You have to set the VLAN ID to 911, on the ASUS I believe it should be in IPTV according to articles I've read.

Username would be in this format: [email protected]
Password is 8chars long.
I have that router, TURN is correct on No One ISP I had to put 911 in Van and it is definitely in the IPTV section. However on Giganet I had to remove the 911 Van setting for it to work.

Think that's something new:

There were differences in how Vodafone was set up in different areas. In some places you needed the 911 VLAN, and not in others.

The only way you would know would be to contact Vodafone.

Have you actually seen anyone that's explicitly said they had to use a different VLAN ID on Vodafone than 911 on CityFibre.
Cause every location, and every post I've come across has always been 911 on CF. I'd be interested to see/know if that is the case.

google it, I had problems on a place in Milton Keynes when they first launched. It’s on here somewhere.

I asked you since you mentioned it so thought you'd know. I've read from several people on multiple forums that Milton Keynes is VLAN 911.

Never seen it mentioned otherwise until now.

Vf gave me VLAN 101 to use

I don't think I can stand the supplied router much longer. Wifi drop outs while on teams calls and spent the last 30 mins getting the xbox to work properly, logs look like this, yet another restart of the router finally kicked it back into life.

What router did they give you?

City Fibre is Phase 2 of the install so I’m hoping that’s around 18 months time when My VM contract then runs out. Hopefully time it just right for prices to drop a bit.
Currently £30 for 900Mbps, I'll be happy if they stay here when I come to renew!
With the way they've got these prices right now I'm guessing they just want everyone on 900...

Go for it, I couldn't stand how laggy the web interface was on the VF Hub they gave me.
Everytime I'd click something it'd take a few minutes for it to load, and by the time it'd loaded it would then log me out.

Holy Heck is that City Fibre?
Yeah haha Vodafone on CityFibre's network.
Currently I'm paying £31/mo for 24mo, w/ no increases for CPI/RPI. Got just under a year left.

They've just started phase 2 near me too, happy for everyone who's able to order, connection is amazing

Nuts for that price. I assume everyone’s getting rid of their house phone.

I dunno how their network copes I really don’t. They obviously done their calculations.

Quick question about using a voip phone and my own router.

From what I read if we want to have a landline, we’re tied into using Vodafone’s router? Is there literally no work around?

Do any other providers let you use your own router and will give you the info needed to connect your voip phone to it?

The Eero's on TalkTalk don't support having a phone plugged in so they give you a separate ATA.

If you want to put SIP credentials into something then you're better off porting your number to a VoIP provider.
