Clarkson, Hammond and May sign with Amazon Prime for new car show

I seem to be in the minority because tbh I don't find Netflix particularly great, either the UK or US listings. There's a lot of content but very little of it is of interest to me

I'm not really complaining given that it's only £6(though going up a little iirc), but you'd be lucky if I watch it more than twice a month on average.

Saul when it returns and this programme might increase that a bit though

The documentaries are fantastic and Saul and House of Cards also. There is a lot, but they don't add new content quickly enough for my liking. Also, content is generally only there for a fixed period of time, so if you delay watching a particular series (for example I went looking for the Sopranos a few weeks ago), you tend to find it gone :(

Why should we have to pay a Private company any money?

The BBC licensing rights should be revoked, make them advertise and provide it free.

OR

Make it a subscription service.

I've recently signed up to Netflix and don't know why I didn't sooner, so much on there! Think weve had it just over a month and it's in use pretty much every day.

And thats WAY more than than we watched any BBC produced rubbish.

I'll definatley be watching this show if it comes off, Unsure o the Chris Evans attempt tho

NO ADVERTS ON BBC IS A GODSEND

I would much rather pay netflix 6 quid a month which I can cancel at anytime I chose, than pay the BBC £11 each month even if I don't watch any of their programming.

I struggle to find things worth watching on BBC these days and ITV is even worse. I mainly watch things on Netflix and 4 and its related channels.

Looking forward to this. I don't have netflix, but this may sway me...

I might even watch the BBC new topgear with open eyes, as well. No reason there can't be two decent shows.

Genuine question - leaving the license fee to one side - how many of you actually like the BBC and enjoy their programming?

I like the lack of obnoxious advertising.

Especially on the radio, there's some adverts with such an irritating slant to them that I either turn it off or ragequit that channel in disgust at having unentertaining marketing trash crammed into my ears.

Sopranos is HBO, I very much doubt HBO will ever be on Netflix sadly. As HBO run their own streaming service.

I am eager to see the new BBC Top Gear. I had gotten bored with the how it was.

Maybe the Netflix show can be called Drop Gear ?

Actually, this is the one thing I like about the BBC. Driving for quite a bit, radio in the car is a godsend. It's good to be able to put it to something that isn't adverts every 10-15m.

care to elaborate?
