Clarkson, Hammond and May sign with Amazon Prime for new car show

It's only £79 a year plus you get one day delivery on orders (even for tiny items costing £3) and video and music streaming. This'll definitely pull in a few more subscribers I reckon!

That's the ticket. Don't pay - I mean, really....why should you?

As always - people want the show, the final product but don't want to pay for it.
What a ****ing generation.

Meh :p

I don't use amazon for much really so prime is pretty much useless to me, plus i don't really get the argument of 'FREE NEXT DAY SHIPPING' when almost everything has free shipping if you wait an extra day so why would i pay more for that? So i'm not going to pay almost £80 to watch 1 season of 1 show i like per year.

I think the issue is probably having to buy into a whole service to watch one show.

I am surprised that with such a strong worldwide product they didn't set up a company to make the shows and then sell them to networks/providers rather than tie themselves to one provider. I would have thought they could have got the finance to do that.

Then just go for the monthly service. If they release them all at once, you'll only have to pay for one month. If not, it will be a couple of months at most. £12 is not a lot for a whole series of The new Top Gear. No more than the DVD will cost anyway.

Great news as I'm already on Prime so no extra subscriptions for me :)

I get it discounted too working in Education :p

Big coup for Amazon.

I will probably sub to prime if they let you pay the current £79 a year fee for the future. I do think the pricing will start to creep up with big shows like this.

I have been thinking about getting prime for a while now as i use amazon 90% of the time when buying online.

I will pass thanks. I already shell out for the license fee and SKY. I won't be paying another subscription to watch Top Gear. Shame.

All these people yelling "hurrr durr it is only £6 a month for netflix or amazon" seem to be forgetting that the majority of people already pay the license fee as well as a subscription to Virgin or Sky. The Sky family bundle costs me £18 a month but the channels and content available dwarfs Netflix or Amazon.

Quite frankly £6 a month for Netflix or Amazon TV is a rip off as the majority of the content is old and crap ( though the free next day delivery with Amazon is a bonus i guess)
