Clarkson, Hammond and May sign with Amazon Prime for new car show

Yep, me too!

With Amazon Prime & Netflix being so good, I'm so close to cancelling Sky now...just Game of Thrones + F1 keeping me there, but then I could just get GoT through an AppleTV season pass I suppose...just the F1 to debate.

i for one will not be buying prime, and finding other means, i dont watch tv at all apart from top gear, i only have one for the missus and the kid, so im not about to spend £79 a year just to watch top gear

I will pass thanks. I already shell out for the license fee and SKY. I won't be paying another subscription to watch Top Gear. Shame.

All these people yelling "hurrr durr it is only £6 a month for netflix or amazon" seem to be forgetting that the majority of people already pay the license fee as well as a subscription to Virgin or Sky. The Sky family bundle costs me £18 a month but the channels and content available dwarfs Netflix or Amazon.

Quite frankly £6 a month for Netflix or Amazon TV is a rip off as the majority of the content is old and crap ( though the free next day delivery with Amazon is a bonus i guess)

This.

It's becoming a bit overwhelming. In some ways it's good to have a bit of competition between broadcasters. However, all that seems to be happening is they spread the same content between an ever increasing number of subscription services.

My streaming device doesn't support Amazon Prime either, so it's yet another device sitting under the TV.

I think I'll pass.

Not interested in Prime, they can shove it. Seems like the consumer is paying for the BBC, BT, Sky, Netflix, Prime etc to outbid each other on programmes or sports. Even a faily basic Sky TV sub is £40+ a month now.

There's nothing wrong with passing.

It's the idiots who think they can justify not paying and still watching the show by "other means" (nudge nudge wink wink) because "we already pay for a TV licence and Netflix" so there's nothing wrong with it.

It's getting pretty annoying having things I want to see spread out over different services.

As for the delivery part of Amazon prime...it's pointless. I always use the free super saver delivery and it's usually here within a day or 2 anyway. Never understood why people pay for delivery on anything from Amazon.

Hmmm...just got an e-mail from Amazon Prime:

You've already discovered unlimited One-Day Delivery and instant streaming of over 15,000 popular movies and TV episodes with Amazon Prime. Now, Prime is getting even better ― introducing Prime Music, a music streaming service available exclusively to Prime members at no additional cost.

Just makes it that little bit better still...plus Kindle free borrowing ofc
