Clinically obese, trapped in an obese man's body.

Become vegetarian.

Try it, it will suck if you dont want to be one, but just try it. When the meat goes, so do all the chips and things. Obv you still eat chips, but you normally eat them when they are with meat or a burger.

If you really want to lose weight i guarantee it will make you.

also you stop the mindless murder of animals to make us fatter. There is actually studies that prove vegetarians have less obesity related diseases, theres one study that on average vegetarians and vegans are lighter. Its amazing how much better you feel when you dont eat animal fats.

its more due to the fact a vegan has to put considerable planning into their diet to avoid malnutrition, if you put that much effort into your diet but kept eating meat you be equally healthy.

Plus of all the things to mention not sure why you bring fat into this unless you're one of those oh so special retards that thinks dietary fat = body fat?

yes, but... bacon!

Well new studies coming out that look at the dopamine release corn syrup gives you and they are starting to think it has addictive properties almost as bad as cocaine.

Why do you think when you have mcdonalds you want another?

Also corn syrup interferes with the part of the brain that sends signals saying you are "full" so you want to keep eating more. That is proven.

I have actually seen the documentary you're refering to btw, I think it comes down to self control. A lot of things are addictive but are safe in moderation.

I eat fast food on a weekend but I usually know roughly how many calories are in what I'm eating.

it is because you spend more time planning your diet, of course that helps. Being a vegetarian or vegan, definitely stops me going to the kebab van when I cant be bothered to cook. You also have to eat a lot more to get the same calories, compared to animal based products, a meat replacement sausage is about 100calories, a meat one could be 400 odd.

animal fat is a lot worse for you than other fats, because it contains more bad fat than good fat compared to vegetable fats.

Body fat as a percentage varies from person to person, for example my body fat is 12% which is quite low, but considering im a long distance runner its not unusual and I dont eat animal fat. However I expect yours is higher as you are a gym nut and into building muscle, im guessing you eat more meat so you take on more animal fats.

True self control/Willpower can overcome anything.

However for me it's purely based on health reasons. I just don't want that crapp going into me.

It's also why I read the stuff I have. Just wanted to eat best possible stuff for myself. Makes you feel amazing.

Yeah if you're a vegetarian/vegan you'll probably weigh less than your average non-veggy, mostly because you'll be eating less calorie dense foods. I doubt most veggies replace the lost meat calories sufficiently.

indeed, cutting now though so hopefully will be joining you around the 10% mark over the next few months.

things aren't going well though, first proper day of diet and i've eaten, 3 bowls of ice cream, half a pack of raisins (by pack i mean one fo the big baking bags, there was n osweets so i found sugar :o) ad one big bowl of tuna salad (2 tins):p

at least the salad was home grown :p

I prefer the ease of an omnivorous diet though, i've looked into vegie/vegan stuff in the past but the volume of food and prep time is a little too much for my chronic laziness.

plus meat is so damn tasty.

problem for me there is that i have no moral attachment to veganism/vegetarian ism so it would simply be the same as saying "im not going to eat ice cream" simply denying myself something i like :p

go for a couple 2hr long runs that will eat through your body fat nicely ;) and probably some of your muscles lol

I ran a half marathon on Sunday and since then I've eaten utter rubbish, I think yesterday I actually ate sugar constantly lol, oh well training starts again monday

tbh you do have to be careful with a veggie diet, those quorn sausages can be quite fatty, combined with chips and beans thats my chronic lazy meal lol

I'm interested to know what you eat in an average week? Looking to improve my diet to see if it helps with my arthritis as I eat a lot of junk.

Thanks,

G

I eat very basic, but i'm on a budget. I'll try list what I eat.

-Broccoli
-Apples
-Kale
-Spinach
-Brown Rice
-Cous cous
- Soy milk (no dairy)
