Clocking Advice/Tips Needed

I do have core temp but its reading high temps.

Im using PC Probe that came with the Mobo and thats saying the CPU at idle is 33 Deg and now Im running Prime its saying under load its 53c.

Core Temp says the following:

Tjunction: 100c
Core 0: 65c
Core 1: 65c
Core 2: 59c
Core 3: 59c

Which is correct?

PS,

Core temp says the frequency is: 3599.87Mhz (449.98 x 8) which is wrong.

CPUZ says the multiplier is X8 not 9.

Im back.

Tried to change settings up/down and kept at stock but finding a middle road is hard.

If I leave it as stock all's fine and the max I can run the CPU at without any failings is 3000 max and thats it. If I go over that the thing crashes and reboots.

I've upped the FSB no joy, I've upped the Vcore no joy and gone the other way and so far Im unable to get a top overclock apart from the 3.0Ghz max.

Wondering if its the mobo!

Regards.

Upped the Vcore to 1.58 so it shows 1.5 in CPUID and upped the FSB so now it runs at 3.2Mhz.

Trouble is the temps are:

Idle: 40/41c
Load: over 65c plus topped 71c

Are these temps ok and will the CPU take it!

Tempted to lap the CPU and cooler to see if that lowers the temps a bit.

Regards.

Just found this:

Scale 2: Quad
Q6x00: Tcase Max 71c, G0 Stepping, Tjunction Max 100c, Vcore Default 1.372, TDP 95w, Delta 10c

-Tcase/Tjunction-
--70--/--80--80--80--80-- Hot
--65--/--75--75--75--75-- Warm
--60--/--70--70--70--70-- Safe
--25--/--35--35--35--35-- Cool

My max temps are showing warm to safe so if I drop the vcore I'll see if it runs ok and hence get the temps down.
