COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

well after the update today it seems to run a lot better if it wasn't for the 3 crashes......i wish they would stop hot fixing the game and bring a proper patch out...... i should have learnt my lesson after MW2..:mad:
 
This might come across as petty but I hate black ops maily because im average at it online. Anybody else that was good at mw1 & mw2 having the same problem? I hate the guns recoil levels and the famas has been ruined. also no spots to get decent killing, Im not a camper but its multi player levels are awful

I'm pretty good at it online despite the stutter even :D but I agree the recoil and spread is vague at best, it doesn't even require the aim and gun control of MW2 :(
 
I get worse performance with my 480's in SLI than with one card.

480's only run about 25% usage but with one card is closer to 90%

Yet a lot of those that written it are probably still playing it, it works perfect after tweaking it some.

If you're going to get it by christmas I doubt it'll still be in the state most are playing it in now. They've been pretty good at patching the game.

lol people cheating on this already? Some people really are sad *******s aren't they :S

The beauty of the game is you don't need to be awesome to actually get good scores out of it, unlike the previous games. Just requires abit of luck compared to knowledge of levels and camping spots etc.
 
For those who are interested sound is deffently the cause of stutter for me and many others to. If i use my Logitech USB headset as default playback device, my game runs smooth as butter with no stutter at all. Maybe a Realtek issue? who knows its deffently seems like a sound problem though.
 
Have played about 50 hours online now and have seen only 1 definite hacker (blatant aimbot no attempt to hide it). Sadly I have been called a hacker 5 times now. The Session I just played one map some guy got 36-1 at one point (clan tag (MCN) forgot his name), the next map i was playing okay top of his opposition on about 20-8 or something and he started hurling abuse at me and threatening me with a DDoS/ Botnet attack.
 
I've only seen one blatant hacker in the 20 hours I've played so far... but then I've been struggling with the stutters...

Funny on the steam forums how they are locking every thread with refund in the title or opening post regardless of the topic.
 
oh, i was not scared of the threat, probably hasn't got a clue how to do one and even if he did it wouldn't bother me for long, just a sad thing to see someone spouting that crap as it could genuinly worry someone. Doubt he was admin cus he would have kicked or banned me.
 
I've been lucky and the game runs smooth for me, the game has started crashing since the latest patch a bit though. Also refreshing the server list seems to be screwing up my connection temporarily (or my router) which is highly frustrating.
