COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

i'll prestige once because i think the first prestige symbol is the best looking.

I dont play fps games for gaining exp and i dont really even need the extra custom slot as i barely use 2 as it is.

My pings horrible today so i doubt i'll be getting to the end of level 50 today.

I don't see it like that.

I see it as using old guns I would never use once I have my favorites. It's all nice having your best guns available but it's not that challenging. I find using guns with high recoil good for increasing your aim.
 
Maybe i'm just being ****y because i spent a few hours yesterday getting myself killed because the moment i heard 'enemy spy plane in the air' i'd point my LAW to the sky and wait :p

Bloody Ghost Pro... only part thats worse is someone actually using a Sentry Gun so you can destroy it.
 
I read the comments to that review and saw this video linked, not sure if it has been posted in this thread before. It shows how the first 15 minutes of the SP game are basically a movie in which you barely interact at all. When I played it I did wonder how much the game was influenced by what I was doing, and this is the answer... it wasn't.

Does that mean after 15 minutes someone shouts at 'get on the *insert any mounted device here* Alec, sorry, Alex Mason'?
 
All you have to do in those 15 minutes is click fire when the game tells you to (twice) and press F when it tells you to.

The SP took me about 4 hours but I am wondering how much of that was actually playing the game rather than watching the game play itself. Maybe half that?

While I could care what your KDR is, I do agree with the above. To get to level 17 takes maybe 2 hours and if your smart about which game types you play you can get the upgraded perks relatively quickly.

Totally agree. I think that recent review summed it up perfectly when they stated that they should just make a movie and get it out of their system.
 
Man alive, i plugged in my "new" q6600 and the difference from a e8500 is night and day.... Now when i die i know i was out shot or out lucked "prone dived"

now all i notice is network lag and laggy people make me lol.... when i get real time to play i forsee a rapefest, well done Jeff!
 
I have an E8500 and I get 125 constant. Only problems seems to be the loading times. I never get to play the first round of S&D.

A quick question.

I was playing yesterday and someone called in the Huey, I took a random pop at him with scope and the chopper blew up. If you do shoot the guy instead of the chopper does it kill it?

I havent had time to try it out again.
 
Already have a decently fast quad core here and still stuttery - infact aside from the length of time it takes to stabalise after entering a map for the first time (longer on dual cores) theres no difference from my Q6600, Q9550, E6600 or T9600 in regards to stutter in firefights, etc.
 
Yep, stuttery here on a 4ghz i7 and 470 sli as well, bit stuttery upon entering the map, once started it's still a bit jumpy. Gpu use barely go's above 40%. Playing it a bit less theese days, gone back to BFBC2 till black ops is sorted out properly.

Same here, i only get a bt of lag when first selecting my weapon
Maybe its the Benq 120hz monitor im using, but i dont remember it being any different on my old lcd
 
I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY getting bored of the spawn in this game. Especially in HC where you can wait up to 15 seconds to respawn. Just rage quitted after being spawned in front of bad guys SEVEN times in a row. SEVEN. God, I really hope they patch that **** soon.

The spawns in tdm have been dodgy since cod1, i wouldn't expect it to change.
