COD: Modern Warfare 3

What's wrong with the graphics?

I have everything set to high, even turned on DLAA with double resolution scale, turn off film grain, filmic aa and motion blur and still the game looks super blurry; the textures look like a ps3 game and what's up with the color palette, everything just looks brown

I also tried setting everything to off or low and it actually looks better but only slightly

Seriously guys the free to play game, counter strike 2, has better graphics than mw3 multiplayer

Yeh, thats not right. Looks great to me.

Screenshot please

Not overly impressed with Graphics either, compare it to say BF5 which is 5 years old now? Not even close.

Enjoyed it earlier, logged in this evening and was getting my bottom handed to me, enjoyed it less :p

After putting 2k hours into CSGO - Cod just feels absolutely alien to me.

you blind then. go back to playing mw2 straight after playing mw3. so much cleaner better looking. infact better game all round. infact thought mw2 was bad before this but now it looks like a amazing buy compared to mw3.

I don't mind it, loaded first time, plays nice enough. I hit level 700 in MW2 so played plenty and this one seems more same. It feels like an expansion pack not a new game though adn full price is steep. Age wise, i'm 52 ands till like killing people for no reason in game.

the aim assist is still very heavy imo.
My biggest issue with MW2 is the lack of enemy footsteps no matter what audio settings i run with.
I have a pretty good headset Epos H6Pro with no issues with any other game, the directional audio is terrible in MW2.
I know that guy Art of war edits the sound using a tonne of software but i really dont want to go down this route so im curious what audio settings someone with your experience with the game use if you dont mind sharing?
I find MW2019 so much better in this respect, same with Cold war.

Warzone / MW2019 still has by far the best sound.

In Warzone 2 I have no idea when someone is walking up behind me audio wise. The only thing that makes me realise when someone is there is with high alert.

Its not like im using a £10 headset either, ive got Beyerdynamic DT1770 pros and a Soundblaster G6 using a modified EQ specifically for FPS (125hz boosted 5dB & 4khz boosted 5dB)

so last night i loaded up MW2 multiplayer, to do my daily challenges. (flippin proximity mine kill took me ages, i'm hopeless with them as i cant stay alive long enough lol) then i thought id have a quick look at the Beta. i figured it would have to download it. but it was ready in a few minutes. All my control settings had copied across (i'm sure i read on here that it didnt) and all was well.

I enjoyed it. assault rifle, whatever it was, made a satisfying noise. the few maps i played seemed good. Felt pretty good to me. Ive only played warzone 1, then bought the current MW2 and have been playing plenty of mulitplayer, so i dont have experience of the previous games to compare against. The only other COD i played was the first one in 2003.

fps took a drop from the old game, prevously i had 200fps+ (capped at 200 i think) now i was about 120fps, i dropped a load of settings, but it didnt seem to make any difference. It felt nice and smooth though.

Same for me - controls all just worked from MWII. I had to upgrade GPU driver and up the settings again but that was it. FPS wise, im on a 3090 Ti and locked at 97fps max for 100hz gsync monitor.
All above 97fps so far (3440 x 1440, all settings maxed except dof, motion blur stuff off)

Nuts - Open beta ends in 5 hours :(

Oh well, guess its time to get the wallet out.

Edit, so the game isnt out until 10th November? So no point in buying it until the 9th right?

Yeah no point pre-ordering.

Most my controls moved over but they messed up my grenade, mele and equipment buttons (all on my mouse)

Performance is decent enough. I hadn't updated the drivers yet but had everything set as high as it could go (though being a Beta I imagine a lot of the options do bugger all) and was getting 90-100fps at 3840x1600. Using a laptop 4090, happy enough with that.

for those of you trying the beta. play beta for a while. then go to mw2 if you own it. then compare the graphics and how the games look in general. mw2 is so much cleaner.

Whats the stupid voice effect that shouts something like "check around"? Its happens in MW2, MW3 and Warzone 2. It said it 3 times in a row in a game I was just in.
Pretty sure its not friends fire but its annoying as hell

In it's current state I'm not buying it. The game has some good points but its too much of a mess for me. I'm hoping they sort it out for release and I will maybe give it a look a few months after the dust has settled.

Both my sons have had their pre orders refunded and I hope others follow so they get the picture so they can't keep releasing garbage.

people already compared it with mw 2019 mw2 and mw3 it looks the worst out of all of them. its literally a mod but you pay £60. this is going to flop.

I just think it's a bit silly comparing a Beta to two full games. I'm sure the MW2 beta looked worse than MW19 but the final game didn't.

I've played a few rounds now (new drivers increased performance to 140+ fps at 3840x1600) and while it was nice seeing the old maps back and they successfully tapped into my nostalgia glands I'm back to thinking I'm going to hold off buying it at launch.

I tend to only play HC modes so it always feels bullet spongey but either this one feels even more like a sponge on the core playlist or the hit detection is off... Being CoD I expect it's column A and Column B.

I'm going back to my original stance of wait and see. If it looks like the multiplatform will get a decent amount of love, I'll pick it up. If it looks like a repeat of MW2 where it was a ******* step child, I wont bother.

Hand on heart. If MW19 was still popular I'd have a blast with that game still

mw 2019 is still best modern cod by far. sadly not that busy or full of cheaters. still a great game though. mw2 is miles better than mw3. doesnt matter about performance the graphics are sub par. as said play on the beta then go straight to modern warfare 3. if you think they going to overhaul the graphics. no chance.
